I thought it was because he thought he was worth more and his pride was hurt for weeks after he realized his glory days were over. I think he's gotten over it.

The same reason teams held out on Birdman and the same reason the Heat signed him to 2 10 day contracts b4 keeping him.

10 -days are standard operating procedure for this type of signing.

Current skid aside.....

If this were last July and somebody told all of us.....come late February Knicks will......

- be 1st in the Atlantic
- 2nd in the East
- have the entire core healthy --- including Shump back on the floor
- and at the deadline basically add KMART, Camby & Sheed

I think 99% of us would have been thrilled --- the other 1% being the ongoing Lin whiners

The real question is how better would we have been if we had BOTH Lin AND KMART, AMIRIGHT?????

This! Still think it was dumb to let Lin go for nothing, but we've been down that road. I bleed orange and blue, i believe we canhold on to 2nd seed, which is realistically more than we could ask for. At the start of the season, people were predicting 4th seed, very few said 1st seed and a few said 2nd. Lets just ride, we'll be fine.

White is #4
Tyson is #6
Ray Ray is #2

so I'm guessing either, #0, #34, #42 or #13

If we were in the west, we'd probably be fighting for our playoff lives right now right alongside the Lakers

It's kind of sad that a 35 year old Martin immediately becomes our best shotblocker(with Camby out) but I'll take it.

Finally. Would have liked to have traded cope instead but yeah, needed another big. If we keep amare as 6th man, i like k-mart to start at the 4(once in shape).

I heard/read somewhere today that the KMart was a problem with the Clippers and his teammates. Got no specifics on that tho.
