I think he changes the team like Sheed changes the team--guys will play with more toughness and energy. He's one of those people who's play is contagious, just hope he has stayed ready.

I know right. Brew was straight cash from inwards of 28 feet and he was locking down everyone in his path. Cant believe we traded a future All Star for a bum lke Martin.

Wow can't believe people don't like this move... Problem is it needed to be done a month ago when sheed/camby first went down.

No, it's a necessary move, but I don't think it'll have a big impact.

Probably waiting till the last minute to see of there are any better deals out there before pulling the trigger.

Love this signing! Kenyon is fearless and full of energy. He'll quickly become a fan favorite. Especially for those chippy games against Miami, BK, BOS and Indiana. The fans will love his toughness, put back dunks, and energy on both ends of the floor. Very excited about this.

I do wish we traded James White instead (if it were possible). Brewer was good for us defensively until Woody stopped giving him burn and started to play him in 2 minute spurts. Thus making him unable to get into the flow of the game and smashing his confidence a bit I think. I'm happy for him. Maybe he'll get a shot in OKC. He's not as bad as some of you are making him out to be.

I think his energy on the offensive glass and shotblocking, if he can still get some of these things done, are a nice fit a) next to Tyson and b) against Miami.

I think it's a no-brainer and potentially significant.

I'm not going to lie. K-Mart is a good addition to the Knicks. The question is, is he ready to play long minutes when required? He is a washed up version of his former self. Heat wanted him at one time, but I think it was the conditioning that turn him down.

Grunwald said on the Boom and Carlton this morning most klikely will be by Monday...possibly Sunday.

More actually waiting to make sure the trade is official with Brewer's physical.

ESPN radio said he's taking his physical tonight and will be able to play Sunday if all goes well. Pre game guy could have been wrong though.

We are missing toughness. He brings that to the table. Hopefully the other guys catch on.

So whose idea was it to go with the 10 day? K-Mart or the Knicks management? Why not just sign him for the rest of the season?

10 days to prove he's in shape
Another 10 to see how he is in games
Then we lock him up for the rest of the year

#Knicks announce signing of Kenyon Martin to a 10-day contract. Team practicing this afternoon. Martin could be available for Sunday vs PHI.

... assuming he's in shape (how can he be in game shape after not having played in games for this long?) and assuming he doesn't piss a bunch of teammates and/or staff like he did in LA.
