I did so because I knew the Knicks were throwing away a really good young player for junk and would eventually end up in a mess, a mess all of their own creation, for weak reasons, and that was entirely avoidable.
Umm where are we right about now?
Anyway ...
Yeahhhhhhh we're all on the same side of course, I'm just part time on that side. It's all good baby baby.

Career 37% three point shooter. That ain't well. That's another JR.
Lets use logic for a second here...
Every 100 3 pointers shot you make 37 of them, that adds up to 111 points.
Someone shooting 48% (the NBA average excluding 3 pointers) on 2's would get 96 points per 100 shots.
Add in the fact that it helps spread the defense out and that Delonte isnt known for shooting tons of ill-advised shots like JR and 37% is actually pretty good. The average this year is 35.8%.

Cool, I welcomed you back then and still do now.
Good day.

Right about now we are 32 and 19 and 2nd in the EC. Hardly what anyone, if shown the standings alone, would call a mess. And fact is, no one is catching the Heat - they're pretty much on a different level than anyone in the league. Which for the most part means, best realistic option is #2. And what are the Knicks, #2. What would everyone have taken if asked at the beginning of the season? #2.
For all the flaws in the team, and the downward trend... They're still #2. Lets not go overboard, as we tend to like to.

It's not like we don't have crazies on this roster. New York City has a long track record of absorbing questionable characters with talent and watching them flourish.
White is not going to help this team. Delonte really could be valuable.
They could drop Copeland too, but with K-Mart in the fold and Camby/Sheed possibly returning, I think Copeland could see a few spot minutes here and there and you can hide his defense with a vet big on the court.

Andersen went to Miami and has basically played a huge role in re-igniting that team. We got Martin (hopefully to do something of the same in NY). West is the last one. Go get him. Crazy is the last thing the Knicks need to worry about. Right now they need someone with balls of steel and that's West. They need a fighter and that's West. And West does EVERYTHING that the Knicks are needing right now of their perimeter players (ball handling, shooting, defense, toughness, passing) that they are rarely getting.
