NYK Plans

Post#1 » by ca1 » Tue May 21, 2013 12:04 am

A friend of mine, whose husband works in the Knicks front office, told me that right now they are hoping Kidd retires along with Camby so that they can some how make a run at CP3 (dont know how that would be possible), and are Not sold on resigning J.R. if he opts out, especially if he asks for the "max amount". Apparently he royally pissed of the organization with his off the court drama during the post season.

Before we call him a ballboy troll we did have a ballboy that posted exclusives and later on it was proven to be correct every single time.

I'm not rushing to defend Ca1's thread but I'm not gonna bash either because it's very probable that what he/she is saying is true.

Don't lock this mods, let wait it out.

there is no way in hell the Knicks get CP3. It's not happening. We all need to accept this a move on. Also, I have no problem with this thread not being locked. I just am not buying it.

Even if Camby or Kidd retires, how the hell are we getting CP3? He would have to take a significant pay cut for this to happen so we should just move on from this pipe dream. The team you see today is what you will get for the next few years.

I should've been clearer.

I dunno about CP3, but it seems possible that we want Kidd & Camby to retire as well as holding out on giving JR anything :dontknow:

I don't think we need sources for that kind of info. Of course they hope Camby and Kidd retire.

So let me get this straight.....

You have a friend who is making this claim, yet you made this thread earlier this morning with your very first post.......

Restructure Salary?

Unread postby ca1 on Mon May 20, 2013 9:24 am
Question, although extremely unlikely, is it possible for players such as Melo, Amare, Chandler to restructure their contracts to take less money to free up salary cap space? For example if they each take a 5m salary cut (like Lebron, Wade, Bosh) that would free up 15m which could be used to sign a player via free agency (Chris Paul) is that legal under the CBA?

Guys I just spoke to Jimmy and Zeke and they both agree that Amare should retire. Also JR Smith is basketball's Jackie Robinson. I will keep you updated with more when the chopper lands.
