Wrestling wise he could fit in with them, what about the overall package?

This is how WCW guys got sh*t for breakfast because the WWE didn't know what to do with them. In TNA AJ has a story, he has had multiple gimmicks there, he has a whole career there, how would he be able to transfer that to the WWE?

He would be completely new, there isn't some hidden history he has with the WWE, they would have to give him a new gimmick, maybe a different look as well and the movesets would have to be altered. Also he wouldn't fit in with Daniel & Punk because they are main eventers, AJ won't be, he would be the sidekick to both of them.

Nah. Rollins is doing better in the WWE, anyway. Styles is getting fatter and less interested in boring ass TNA. A revitalized Styles is like the second best American worker behind Daniel Bryan.

I wonder what gimmick Sami Zayn/El Generico will end up with after he gets called up to the WWE from NXT. His 2 out of 3 falls match in NXT vs Antonio Cesaro got a lot of rave reviews.

McMahon ruined Tensai and has now turned him into one of his fools. What's next? A chicken outfit like the one he made Terry Taylor wear?

He should of came to NXT with his El Generico gimmick. The "Ole" chant would of been an instant hit, now they gave that chant to Los matadores . They will be a fail. Maybe WWE has bigger ideas for Sami Zayn.

Eliminating guys who already made it big enough in the WWE (Kurt Angle, Bully Ray - wouldn't make it as a singles wrestler in the WWE anyway despite how good he has been in TNA, Jeff Hardy, etc), my list would match the current 4 guys they have fighting for the Bound for Glory Series title:

1) AJ Styles - Some obvious dream matches just sitting out there if he went to WWE. If Benoit made it in the WWE with his personality, they could most definitely make it work for AJ. His current gimmick in TNA has been a good enough type gimmick to get him over in the WWE. Could only ever be a face, even if it is a darker gimmick type face like he is now.
2) Bobby Roode - He can do everything well enough to make it in WWE and most certainly has the look that they go for. He might never quite make it to main event, but he'd always be right on the cusp
3) Austin Aries. I don't care if he's small. The guy can work the mic and kill it in the ring. He's the most entertaining thing TNA has going in my opinion. I would love to see him go at it with guys like Punk and Bryan on a much bigger stage than he has in the past
4) Magnus - has the look WWE loves, but not enough personality IMO. He'd have to be a cocky heel to make it in WWE, because he oozes that type of character despite being a face in tna now. I think he could do really well there, but if they aren't willing to push a guys as talented as Cesaro and Wade Barrett, Magnus might have similar issues. I could see a strong heel tag team with him and Wade Barrett working.

Honorable mentions would be:

1) James Storm (they really could make it work IMO, but he's not the type of guy they'd give a chance, despite his Stone Coldesque gimmick).
2) Kazarian - Just not quite good enough in any one area, but could be a consistent mid-carder in the WWE even so
3) Eric Young - move over Hornswaggle
4) Gunner - Has the look WWE loves, but you'd have to hide him behind a manager/tag-team partner who can actually speak

Not making the cut, even as honorable mention:

1) Samoa Joe&Joseph Park/Abyss - I will lump together as just not WWE types of guys. WWE has rarely treated guys with weight issues with much respect other than The Big Show (see Tons of Funk as a great example). Both are very entertaining in TNA though (the latter more so as Joseph Park)
2) Chris Sabin - too small and cookie cutter
3) Zema Ion - just can't see the WWE usuing a guy like him effectively
4) Hernandez - Just don't see it with him. He's an athletic big guy that can fly around a bit, but doesn't entertain me at all
3) Christopher Daniels - just not a WWE type of guy at all. he has been pure gold at times with Kazarian though.

Guardplay everything you said is spot on.

I'm blanking since I haven't watched TNA in years but is Magnus the UK guy? if so I think he's got the right look.

The first two falls were very solid, but then the last one just absolutely blows you away. It's some of the best wrestling I've seen.

Not really looking forward to Night of Champions. I usually stream PPV's but I think I'll skip this one. All the male matches should be good in-ring, but four matches? Sure there are some you assume will be added as the show goes on but those are almost never interesting or good.

Yep, that is the UK guy. Has a great look for the business and for what WWE loves to sell.

I actually thought Samoa Joe would make a solid addition if thrown into the CM Punk/ Paul Heyman Feud.
He could either be put in to further the Paul Heyman stable & renew his old rivalry with CM Punk or he can be brung in to help CM Punk. Either or because Samoa Joe wouldn't need to speak to much in either situation.
Samoa Joe attire is also like Brock Lesnar's but is green.

Vince would never tolerate his weight issues. The guy is awesome to watch in the ring, but that isn't really what WWE is about.

No Undertaker? He's by far my favorite of all time, I like your list though.

Taker is probably top 20 for me. Without a doubt, a great performer and one of the top 5 greatest characters/gimmicks in the history of the business. But speaking strictly in terms of the work they've done in the ring, those 15 guys just barely beat him out based on artistry, creativity, believability and grace. Things that make a match fun to watch.

If you go back and watch a bunch of Taker's matches, he's had a lot of great ones, but he was usually the beneficiary of having someone great to work with who hit all the big spots and made those moments as memorable as they are (HBK, Mankind, Austin). A lot of his earlier stuff was awkward and just seemed incredible at the time because I was a child... and Taker's look was just other-worldly.

I respectfully disagree, I think he brings out the best in people. He got better with age. His last 5 wrestlemania matches were amazing. He can tell a great story in the ring and easily the most athletic big man in the history of WWE.

The greatest rivalry will always be Stone Cold vs McMahon I remember looking forward to what crazy thing stone cold was going to do whether it was rip down the Titan tron, pour cement in mcmahons convertible and bring a beer truck into the ring it was always entertaining.

I don't get how people are leaving off Kane on the list of top wrestlers. I'm talking original Kane get hit with a chair and sit back up like nothing happened. I was legit scared of the guy growing up. No voice couldn't see his face then they ruined the character.

Rock and Jericho are all time favorites along with the new age outlaws. WWE back in the 90s was amazing you had the godfather and the ho train Val Venis and ex porno star too funny. Miss the old days!! Who can forget the infamous Gillberg instead of fireworks they had sparklers! And the most disturbing moment Mae young giving birth to a hand!

I been watching WWE/WWF since 94/95'. Was 4 but had recordings of most main episodes on blank VHS tapes.
I remember going to a few "In Your House" PPVs growing up.
The live event that that officially had me hooked was when I went to "Raw is War" in MSG when Stone Cold 1st stunned Vince McMahon. Went to school thinking I was Stone Cold himself for months, if not years.

Watched WCW & ECW as well because I appreciated the art of it all.

That said, Stone Cold is the greatest wrestler to ever do it. Complete package & saved WWE. Literally.

Return to New York Knicks
