Sam does all his own beats, he's kind of unique the way he goes about it. The drop at 2:52 does catch you off guard at first, but then it's smooth as hell. Seattle has a pretty dope squad, extremely slept on IMO.

Missing out IMO, Gifted Gab is one of the better flows for females and that's not even a real flow on the first verse. Nevertheless it's music, it's either for you or not.

Lil Mama kinda killed it. Really Like how she flowed on it.

"You in my way youz a dead man
Broad day massacre bloody mary red man
So stand clear when I drop
Cuz imma bang like blood clots , u gunna need eye drops
You got no wins in me clasa
Im on the block with the dread man, bonified Rasta
Reppin fa me sons and me dottas (Daughters)
Fettachini fa the pasta, budda fa the lobsta"

When I was 6 this song came out, looking up to my big brothers and their friends. This joint takes me back to sitting in my bro's room and watching his rap group write in notebooks and kick cyphers with cadences that you just don't hear any more.

When people talk top 10's, I get funny looks for naming Tip and Mos Def but most of the real heads don't bat an eye because...just because. Mathematics is one of my all time favorite tracks, I've posted it in like 5 of the all things hip hop threads already.

That's my era. When Hip Hop was grimey (Black Moon, Mobb Deep), Smooth (Nas, Pete Rock/CL), goofy (Das EFX, Onyx) and just chill (Eric B/Rakim, Mos Def, Common).
Those last 70 seconds, Randle in a nut shell.

Awful 2 for 1 3PT attempt when we are up 2
Doesn’t close out on Sabonis --> open 3
Takes another side step off balance 3

We got sucked into the Randle vortex where all good feelings go to die.

that whole album black on both sides album is great. Mos Def has so much good music that most new listeners have no idea who he is. He's also a great actor too. Mathematics is one of my fav tracks too.

You gotta watch some of his interviews on YouTube. He is so funny. Especially the interview where he talks about MF Doom and is stoned the whole time reciting mf doom bars lol.

Nah man, I'm a BIG Tyler fan but him and Mick are nothing alike. Mick is straight lyrics, he's from the chi and is one of those rappers that have you thinking.

He got his first big break with this song which I highly recommend.

3. Late Registration 2. College Dropout 1. Graduation
I know in the general public College Dropout is his best work, I just have Graduation as number one because that album along with Food and Liquor and The Cool were the albums that made me love hip hop. I have to say I love 808's too :D Yours?
