The Downfall of Chris Smith

Post#1 » by No35 » Thu Jul 17, 2014 12:43 am

Or, what happened to him after #MerryChrisSmith, or, how to wash out of anything even remotely related to the NBA in 6 months or less.

January 4, 2014 - Signs with Erie Bayhawks

January 20, 2014 - Tweets that he should replace Beno Udrih, who requested a trade from the Knicks

March 4, 2014 - Waived by Bayhawks citing disciplinary issues. Averaged 8.1 pts, 3.3 rebs, and 35.4 fg% in 23 games.

March 5, 2014 - Announces plans to participate in Summer League

June 30, 2014 - Invited to try out for a spot on the Dallas Mavericks SL squad

July 10, 2014 - Mavericks announce that 5'7" Japanese national team player Yuki Togashi will be replacing Chris Smith in their Vegas SL roster

Doesn't there need to be a period of success for it to be considered a downfall?

We were 0-2 when Chris Smith played 1:21 or less...just saying. We don't know what would have happened if he played for 1:22.
