This. Nothing too flashy, just solid. I've never seen Larkin drive with his head down - he always has his head up and looking around for cutters or kick outs.

He looked very good last night. Defensively he was very impressive and on offense he played under control for the most part.

Reminds me of Travis Best with better D and a little less quickness.

He's improved the past two games...I think learning the system has stopped him from showing off his true potential. As he gets more comfortable with time, we'll see more and more of the skill set that made him such an exciting piece out of the draft.

Larkin can't defend in the post. That's about the only weakness this guy on defense. His man will not get by him on many plays. Gambling will get you burned in the NBA as coaches will look to exploit any weakness they could find. Remember how many times Shump got beat off the back cut last yr? Those are demoralizing plays when everyone else is locked in on D. Hopefully DFish and Pjax can teach these guys with good instincts when and more importantly when not to gamble.

Does anyone remember the orange come we played with last yr? No, because that orange cone would literally put up more of a defensive challenge than Felton. Opposing pgs had a field day on us all yr, especially with no help defensive scheme and no true rim protector. Chandler is a good defender and rebounder, but he was never in his career a consistent rim protector. Calderon isn't any better. You just have to hope his offense outweighs his bad defense like it does for Amare JR etc.

I really think we need to find a true 2 way pg as we try to be a contender. Bledsoe and Rondo would be perfect if either hit FA next yr. I've been driving the Larkin bandwagon from day one, but still think he's at least 3-4 years of away from being close to a starting pg.

Shane's been better from what I saw. Will be interesting to see if he snatches the backup PG spot from Prigi, because in theory he'd offer a different look, whereas Prigi is very similar to Jose. The same way Kidd/Barea worked on the '11 Mavs.

One last thing on Larkin - at least 3 games this season he will hit 5 or more 3's this season. This guy is lights out shooter.

an elite backup, that will cause you to not panic if your starting pg gets injured... kinda like collision last year in lac or bledsoe the year before

He looks like he will be a great change of pace player. Solid bench PG right now. he looks comfortable in the triangle. I watched every SL game and I was really impressed with how well he played his part.

Not sure why anyone would think he is allergic to the paint. He drives right by players and absorbs contact undr the rim AND scores. Against NBA players. Not just SL scrubs.

I think he is going to be a solid PG in this league and he could start for you if you need him to. His defensive presence/intensity and his motor will earn him minutes. He sees the floor very well and he seemes to understand the basic principles of the system ALREADY.

He will surprise many if he ever gets the chance too. His height may keep him from starting for us because of PJs preference...but let's not forget Fisher is the HC. If he plays and improves he will get his.

I see Larkin playing like DJ Augustine, both have speed on there side and can get to the basket at ease.
