Wiretap: Dolan spending less time around Knicks

Post#1 » by PMFJB » Fri Sep 12, 2014 10:34 pm

Well this is refreshing. Finally someone who has the power to make the basketball decisions without Dolan being involved. Discuss away.

Wiretap: Dolan spending less time around Knicks

“I simply said, ‘If you need me, call me,' ” Dolan recalled about Jackson, pausing for half a beat. “He did not call me.”

:(

Season hasn't started yet though. He'll probably still be court side once the game starts.

I f*cks with Dolan.

For now, Dolan appears to have made good on his promise to let Jackson run the show. One agent whose client was involved in off-season negotiations with the Knicks said he went to Dolan when talks with Jackson stalled — a tried-and-true tactic for agents dealing with the Knicks. The agent, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the discussions, said he was politely rebuffed by Dolan, who reminded him that Jackson was in charge.

That must be the so-called pile of dung Leon Rose. Must be right? You know he was going to try.

Nice try, Cole Aldrich.

I mean, seriously, just say Melo's agent.

lol

We didn't really negotiate with anybody else. Leon is so slick.

When you don't have cap room and you give out your full MLE, there's more or less no negotiation except with a free agent. It's Melo's agent. Easiest process of elimination ever.

Have to say that I'm a bit surprised Dolan didn't get at least a little involved in the Melo negotiations even when it got heated.

I am, as well but this is sweet. The Knicks are actually doing it the right way. People are gonna be surprised how behind Melo I'm gonna be this year.
