If you really want to sell a trick play, you have to go all in. And if that means playing dead when the ball is snapped, so be it.

During Saturday's game against Miami, Arkansas State wide receiver Booker Mays attempted to breathe new life into a fake punt by falling over and playing dead at the line of scrimmage. His attempt to distract opposing players was all for naught, however: The pass was intercepted and Mays took a hard hit when he stood back up again.

Miami won the game 41-20, though USA Today notes the score was only 20-7 when Arkansas attempted the disastrous play.
