its not about that anymore dont you see. They are in their final year. We have no obligation to play them. If they are effective so be it. But this is not the days when you start because you get paid higher than the night guy. Its not going to work that way
Yes but it still does present political issues. You probably have to trade him or release him -- either Bargs or Amar'e or maybe even both (wouldn't completely shock me).
However, I'm on board with using Jason Smith for all those minutes if he fills a role well. I like Bargs and Amar'e more than most here but I'll take grit and cohesion, defense and winning. The rest means nothing.
If you think about it, would Jason Smith have signed on to a 1-year deal if he wasn't given some assurance of playing time? Same could be said for Aldrich who is on vet min. Maybe Phish have already decided what's what here as far as big man minutes go.
