Kobe, Jordan Hill, 2nd rounder, and Lin for Amare, JR Smith, and THJr

Contend this season and the next and then reboot in '16 with a fresh slate and Melo on the books.

If we miss out on Gasol then sure. Kobe expires the same year KD is a FA so who GAF about a contract? Tell them to throw some picks in and move on
Jose/Larkin
Kobe/Timmy
Melo/Early?
Acy/?
2015 pick/?

with cap coming in 2016

Read Phil 's book, Eleven Rings. He goes into a lot of detail in his view on Kobe and he even wanted to trade Kobe away and build around Shaq. Basically felt Kobe was "uncoachable" and selfish

what about

Gasol
Lamarcus
Melo
Shump

Knicks become a top 10 defefensive and rebounding team instantly. that team has a 3 year window.
think Gasol/Zach/Melo.(memphis with Melo)
