Another sad case and a waste of life RIP.

Still, I think how far Swift has fallen so quickly and the way he was living is purely amazing.

That's drugs man. Getting high is the only priority and nothing else is important. He probably kept the guns because he was afraid someone would take his dope. It's really that serious.

Eventually they will, but his story isn't "over" yet.

Former Thunder Center Robert Swift Arrested In Attempted Robbery

Swift and an accomplice, 28-year-old Carlos Abraham Anderson, were arrested on Thursday by Snohomish County Sheriff's deputies after allegedly attempting to rob a home during the middle of the day.

According to a report from KIRO, Swift and Anderson were both wearing masks and the former NBA center was armed with multiple weapons at the time of his arrest.

According to sources, the 7-foot-1 former NBA basketball player and 28-year-old Carlos Abraham Anderson of Everett put masks over their faces and attempted to rob a home in broad daylight. Witnesses notified the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

“I believe there were a couple of people who called in, they saw masked subjects on the property, reported that at least one of them was armed with a weapon, one possibly with a baseball bat,” Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Shari Ireton told KIRO 7. “It appeared they were either trying to make an entry or knocking on the door.”

Swift reportedly told authorities that he was high at the time of his arrest and was transported to the King County Jail for booking as there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest due to a non-appearance at a November 2014 court date on the charge of possessing an illegal sawed-off shotgun.

Let me guess, the home they tried to break into was probably down the block from where he lived? And there's only so many 7 foot tall albino red heads in existence so the collaring was a cake?

I think getting a large sum of money and spending it on an expensive house is a big mistake people make. You put yourself in a expensive tax bracket. Not to mention up keep. Its going to cost a lot of money annually to keep that house even if its paid for. If you dont keep earning that kind of money you will lose most of the investment. If not all of it.

Buts that not even to problem in this case. This kid is a destructive mental mess and a junkie. Its almost impossible to stop that train from derailing unfortunately.

His $11+ mil earnings put him in the expensive tax bracket. And depending on where you live, 1.3 mil house isnt some mansion needing live-in house servants. It could be a apartment in a building or a 4 bedroom house with a simple yard in the suburbs.

The house was probably one of his lesser problems in his life.

This is like that Chris Herren story. Only Herren cleaned himself up and didn't try to rob a home. He did overdose on Heroin though and was dead for about 30 seconds. Check out the ESPN documentary "Unguarded."

At first, I was wondering why there was feces all over the house. But then, I guess, when you're strung out, looking for that next hit, whether you make it to the toilet or not is the least of their worries.
