The last time I got this excited was when I was realized they didn't charge me for an order of fried dumplings in my take-out.

Hope they use him at C. Too fat and slow to play against today's PF. He can guard in the post and can help on the weak side. Actually had better post D than Chandler last yr IMO. Also, he's still a decent enough mid range threat to do well against opposing centers in the triangle.

What has Dolan reduced me too? Focusing on how Bargs will be a strong player.

He finally looked at Jason Smith and decided to take his spot.

I have my reservations about barf, but if he could help this team then I will welcome him.

Isn't there a qualification that you must meet in order to be classified as a threat?

He shoots in the low 40% range...

That's not a threat. That's a defenses best friend.

Everyone sounds like Al Davis. They are so enamored that a 7 footer can move somewhat well and make somewhat long distance shots. However, he can't do it efficiently. He's not accuracte. What good is a 7foot "threat" if they can't shoot 50%?

Yeah but what us he gonna provide that those two don't? I mean, he's gonna get the same looks. Smith gets them and ps then in at a decent percentage. I don't understand what people expect.

he shoots 50% from 2, his fg% only drops down when people try to make him into a 3pt threat(while phil already said they weren't going to do)

42%+ from 10 feet and out. That is VERY good for a 7 footer.

Think our offense improves but like the Woodson/MDA years problem is one defensive big on the roster.

Exactly. Bargs will have to be shooting at career high %s to make it worthwhile.

All I ask Bargs is that he can continue to improve upon his rebounding rate, or at least not get any worse. Last season, his 6.4 rpg per 36 minutes was a career high.

I dont want to defend bargs, but he is a better man defender than Smith. He can also put the ball on the ground and drive. To say bargs aint better than smith is a little ,....... I dont know. I let you call it.

I guess we cant blame Bargnani for our bad start last season, based on what were seeing this season hes not at fault.
