latest reports now state jose is a go and bargs isnt. hopefully both come back tomorrow so we have a better gauge on how bad this disaster of a team really is.

either way. id hold them out rather then have them back and reinjured if they arent 100%.

right. isnt it ironic the same dudes who hate him and want him off the team or dnp now suddenly demand he return and play injured. :nonono:

Also, if both start, we may very well have one of the worst defensive lineups ever.

bargs good post defender. he wont let these easy 1on1 big man plays.
his help defense is so poor but he would be better overall.
also on offense he is good. he fits triangle.

Our weaknesses are stopping penetration, not fouling, 3 point defense and rebounding.
Bargnani has a Defensive rebound percent of 15% over his career. By comparison Amare is at 25% this season
Admittedly you have stated Bargnani does not play help defense, so stopping penetration is also going to fade. He can't guard on the perimeter, so 3's continue to rain and lastly foul proneness Andrea at 2.9 fp36 is a lot better than Amare at 4.5
Hooray, we finally have an advantage.

bargs post defense is underrated.
first unit or second units of our opponent sscored 1on1 from their big man.
first game against bulls was pathetic on big man defense. gibson/gasol all beated our big man.
dalembert blocks sometimes but overall he isnt good on post D.

***

also defense-offense are connected.
if dalembert-acy forces some tough shots, tries 1on1s and misses TEAM DEFENSE GETS WORSER.
team tries hard to get the ball and then because of triangle and over confidence of dalembert/acy we lose our chance.
if our offensive choices get better our team defense would improve too.

calderon bargs can make us better. i mean they could get us to top 10 team in East. we look like 2nd worst in nba right now.

I always thing long 2's are bad offense in today's league (unless you are automatic 80% when wide open). Dalembert and Acy are both adequate and honestly, our record is above .500 with them starting.

Our #1 and #2 weaknesses are currently getting out on 3 point shooters and preventing 2nd chance points. Knicks are one and done on offense then we play 20 seconds of great defense followed by a) a foul b) a missed shot and a put back c) a late kick out for an open 3 d) missed shot followed by a reset.

No it makes sense I never wanted bargs or for that matter ARoid . However I have different approaches to each . Since Bargani never was a problem I would play him into the wheels fall off and hopefully they will . ARoid I would do everything in my power to see to it he never plays again because he is a big problem
