Show me the player who's come out and said they're personally trying to tank.

Any excuse for the media to portray Melo in a negative fashion and these Melo haters to get on their soapbox.

here comes the panic because we skated by the beyond mediocre new Orleans hornets without one of the best players in the game and there 2nd best player. Then we snuck by the sixers without there 3 best players.

We are at full strength right now and barely getting past these miserable teams. It is just a blip in the radar. Or course players don't want to tank. 75% of the roster are probably playing for other teams, and guys like Galloway, Thomas, and Amundson are playing for guaranteed contracts. They aren't going to tank.

It needs to be a front office decision. Phil could start by moving Calderon and Prigioni and letting Larkin run the show, because that will be brutal.

Houston just got smacked by GS last night, Phil needs to see how desperate the wiz kid Morey is feeling. How is playing with no point guard Morey?

I don't think I've ever seen a player admit that his team is losing on purpose to get a better draft pick. Maybe I'm forgetting somebody.

The minute he comes right out and says we're tanking, is the minute the League begins an investigation. It's ridiculous. You're reading too much into it.

You'd be pissed if he answered truthfully or didn't answer at all, leaving the media to speculate. It would definitely lead to a fine and/or loss of pick.

i don't get people.... he was probably asked a question about tanking (probably from Berman if anything).

What do you want him to say....

1) i'm down with the tank (gets blasted for having a losers mentality)
2) just not answer (now imagine RealGM and Twitter blowing up after this)
3) say he's not interested in the tank (and still get blasted on RealGM and other sites)

Good thing we're already too far gone to really **** it up. With only 39 games left we'd have to win half to get to like 26 or 27 wins. This team isnt capable of playing .500 for any sustained stretch. Ill say we end the season with about 15 wins

which unless the lakers go like 3-39 in there last 42 games or however many games they have left we will at least have a top 3 worse record.

Its really not that hard to win a few games or go on a winning streak especially if Melo’s playing. Its not impossible to slip out of the top 3 and move down in the lottery. Not that i am panicking or worrying yet, but i dont think its in the bag yet either. It is the Knicks so things always go wrong for us.

yeah, i feel the same way. I am liking a lot of those guys in the top 4 or 5 so wouldn't mind someone like Russel. But the drop off after that could be pretty big. Then Cauley Steins and Frank Kaminsky start looking a lot better.

I really don't want to jump out of the top 5.

I would be happy with Okafor, Towns, Mudiay, Russel, and Stanley all in the top 5.

Would be pretty disappointed if we didn't land any of those 5.
