Nets CEO takes shot at Knicks

"We want to thank the Brooklyn community and the entire fan base for your unwavering support. You are instrumental in the team's success and have helped us advance to the playoffs each year we've been in the borough. Brooklyn is the only place to catch playoff basketball in New York, and we are excited to see you at Barclays Center."

Man, these guys really think they are hot sh*t! Unbelievable. I hope they get swept and not even get one lucky game in!

Hard to not be jealous of all of Brooklyn's successes. They've basically taken over New York with these long playoff runs, future cap flexibility and an overabundance of first round picks upcoming.

What fans?

They have like 2000 nets fans at their game a night, 10000 people who don't know the difference between a shooting foul and non, and then 8000 fans for the opposing team.

Apparently, watching a team no one really cares about is successful in their eyes.

Talk about putting lipstick on a pig. Three years ago I would have said their future was brighter but trying to rub mediocrity and worse (?!) management in our face only makes me smile. Enjoy your playoff "run" of 4 or 5 games and then the next decade on the mediocrity treadmill.

I really can't blame the true fans for not showing. It's a long drive from New Jersey, particularly at rush hour.

The Nets are peons.

Shouldn't even be worthy of me taking a few seconds to type this out.

2015 first round draft pick to Atlanta
Atlanta will swap its 2015 1st round pick for Brooklyn's 2015 1st round pick [Atlanta-Brooklyn, 7/11/2012]

2016 first round draft pick to Boston
Brooklyn's 2016 1st round pick to Boston [Boston-Brooklyn, 7/12/2013]

2016 second round draft pick to L.A. Clippers
L.A. Clippers have the right to swap their 2016 2nd round pick protected for selections 56-60 for Brooklyn's 2016 2nd round pick (if the L.A. Clippers' pick falls within its protected range, then the L.A. Clippers' swap right and Brooklyn's obligation to the L.A. Clippers will be extinguished) [Brooklyn-L.A. Clippers, 7/11/2012]

2017 first round draft pick to Boston
Boston has the right to swap its 2017 1st round pick for Brooklyn's 2017 1st round pick; if Boston exercises this swap right, then Boston will convey its 2017 2nd round pick to Brooklyn protected for selections 31-45 (if this pick falls within its protected range and is therefore not conveyed, then Boston's obligation to Brooklyn will be extinguished) [Boston-Brooklyn, 7/12/2013]; this potential pick conveyance is the same as the one described in "2017 second round draft pick from Boston" on Brooklyn Credits

2017 second round draft pick to Atlanta
Brooklyn's 2017 2nd round pick to Atlanta [Atlanta-Brooklyn, 7/11/2012]

2018 first round draft pick to Boston
Brooklyn's 2018 1st round pick to Boston [Boston-Brooklyn, 7/12/2013]

2018 second round draft pick to Philadelphia
Philadelphia will receive the more favorable of Brooklyn's 2018 2nd round pick and Cleveland's 2018 2nd round pick and Brooklyn will receive the less favorable of these two picks (via Philadelphia's right to swap Cleveland for Brooklyn) [Cleveland-Philadelphia, 9/27/2014; Brooklyn-Philadelphia, 12/11/2014]; this pick conveyance is the same as the one described in "2018 second round draft pick from Cleveland" on Philadelphia Credits

2020 second round draft pick to Philadelphia
Brooklyn's 2020 2nd round pick to Philadelphia [Brooklyn-Philadelphia, 12/11/2014]

Funny thing is the overwhelming hype this team had going into BKN and seeing the media do a 180 now.

First they were supposed to be better than us in 2013 and take over NYC. Nope. Then they make maybe one of the worst deals in recent nba memory and were supposed to be a 60 win team. Nope. Now the media can't stop bashing them.

If you know you look good, why check bums on the street because they think they look good? Just say "**** the Nets" and keep it moving.
