Most contracts signed this off-season will have a second year opt out clause.

They better not hand out max contracts to guys like Monroe hoping they'd look better in future.

you do pretty much have to spend this summer though. the same quality players will be more expensive one year from now. also, keep the damn pick. even rookie salaries will increase. if that player is any good it will be a real bargain.

**** it

give dragic a 1 year max with 2 player options

give draymond green the regular max
give Asik/hibbert 10m

there are a lot of ways we can get some quality guys in here.

I'm sure Greg would get an opt out clause in his deal.

So many players are going to be SO overpaid! There is not going to be any more money to go around, because the new max contracts will be INSANE.

So, the Knicks will be able to add a near max or max player in both offseason '17 and offseason '18. If Jackson can't rebuild a team with that kind of cash, I don't know what to say...

i'd wish they'd do something other than raise player contracts with that money. Maybe add 5 rosters slots with 15 being active and the other 5 being on a D-league affiliate kinda like NHL/AHL. and be able to call up/send down players

Don't worry. When the cap goes over 100 million and teams have to pay 90 minimum there will be a lockout.

making Cousins last 2 years of his contract at 18 & 19 million in 2017-2018 & 2018-2019 all that much more of a steal... he will be a max player at half the cost...
