Kinda reminded me of a marriage. The first half year was great (Honeymoon period). Then someone newer (Anthony) came along. We lost interest and then it got acrimonious. Then the inevitable divorce happens. Now the insults and lies come about.

I always wanted to believe that Steve Nash wrote the Vitamin Water commercials because those were fantastic.

As good as Amare's first half season was in NY, his legacy is just another Alan Houston. Actually, Alan Houston hit a shot that won a playoff series and helped take an injured and undermaned team to the NBA finals. The only thing Amare hit in the playoffs was the fire extinguisher.

Was his name actually Anthony?

That's it! I stood behind Stat when he signed an undeserved $100 million contract, I stood behind him when he punched a fire extinguisher, I let the ridiculous outfits throughout the years get a pass, even turned the other way for the decision to do that embarrassing naked Sports illustrated cover, but this Snapple commercial is my final breaking point. F*ck this no knee having, wine bathing, Michael Jackson dressing muthaf*cka now!

Calm down people. It's only a fake commercial...and one that I'm sure he didn't write. Some ad executive in a business suit, who's probably sitting in an office building on Madison Ave. right here in NYC is likely responsible for writing it. Amar'e is only reading words he was told to say.

Just like his mom is not really on the other end of the phone, he's not really speaking his own mind. So it's not a diss. It's just an opportunity Snapple jumped on to promote their product. Move along. Nothing to see here...

The only thing he misses from New York is a beverage.

Not a reach, not really disrespect, just a subtle jab.

*Goes back to lurk mode*

Subtle jab is even an exaggeration.

You gotta be a really sensitive person to be offended by the comment.

It is concerning to see Snapple catching on in other cities. How are we gonna recruit free agents now?

How could anyone be seriously offended by that or find it disrespectful ? It was a New York company that hired him to represent their product in that commercial. Are you upset with Snapple also? STATS is a good man, I wish him success in what ever he does. It is just too bad things did not work out with the Knicks.

Can't wait for Stat's next endorsement, a fire extinguisher he can pretend to punch. What a FOOL. Thanks Donnie.
