New York Mets Forum
Sup Knick fans,
I'm going to try to help get the Mets forum started and going.
I know we have a lot of Met fans here on the Knicks board. More than I can list. But I can confidently say we have 15-20 legit fans here who would want to talk about the Mets here. Whenever we have an "OT: Mets" thread on the Knicks board, it's pretty active and just dies when it gets moved to the Mets board.
I know how it is... It's hard to get together and post on a dead forum, but we got lot of fans here and can get it really going. Just click Mets logo on the top of the Knicks board. I will also try to keep this thread bumped every now and then to recruit members as well.
I hope to see you guys there.
Talk about the games and general chat of the season right here:
viewtopic.php?f=112&t=1381491#start_here
We have Thor pitching this Tuesday, which is big news:
viewtopic.php?f=112&t=1386803#start_here
Talk about trades:
viewtopic.php?f=112&t=1386802#start_here
Win prediction thread:
viewtopic.php?f=112&t=1380177#start_here
Feel free to start your own threads on the Mets forum too.
It's an exciting time to be a Mets fan!

Re: New York Mets Forum
LET'S GO METS!
Indeed, we have a lot of Mets fans here and we've had some great discussions when Mets threads get created on the this board. Is there any way we can create an "easy access button" for the other New York sports teams (sans the Nets - "f*ck the Nets")? In the past we "stickied" other sports threads but that proved to be problematic when we had too many stickies. I think if we had a one-click option, we'd get more fans over to that board and the Yankee board as well. While I'm a devoted Mets fan, I don't hate the Yankees (anymore) and enjoy discussing their roster moves etc. It's also a lot of fun for the Yankees and Mets fans here to tweak each other as the season unfolds.
I hope we can find some momentum here to share in baseball season as we head into the basketball off season.

I believe there is at the top of the forum, it has all NY sport teams and takes your right to the mets page!

Yep. Like mpharris said, you should see a bunch of logos (Mets, Yankees, Giants, Jets, Rangers). Click one of those logos to go to that forum.
You might not see those logos if you are on an app or mobile site.
The Yankees board is actually pretty active compared to the Mets board.
EDIT: You can even click the icons on a poster's "Favorite Teams" and it will take you to that forum.

I must say, in the past when I have visited the Mets forum I was very dissapointed. Outdated threads, no much trafic, ect.... I even found myself wondering over to the "Mets Reddit" for my Mets talk. Dont really have many friends that watch baseball, so to have somewhere to talk baseball is exciting. I'll try to be as active as I can over there, in hopes that we can get some great Mets discussion.

GLAD to see the effort Travis. there wasn't a mod for awhile---I volunteered and tried to post relevent stuff---kinda like what you're doing but very few people responded. Maybe having a mod and a winning season will work.

Those last 70 seconds, Randle in a nut shell.
Awful 2 for 1 3PT attempt when we are up 2
Doesn’t close out on Sabonis --> open 3
Takes another side step off balance 3
We got sucked into the Randle vortex where all good feelings go to die.

2010, where you at?
Yea. I think we just needed a set time to get everybody there. I noticed posters would post on there one by one, and just leave. Then another person would post, and leave.
So far the response has been good. I know it's the first day, but it's better than I expected.

RA Dickey vs Colon tonight. I been looking forward to this matchup, and I'm sure others have as well.
