yes, at the bare minimum i expect him to be as good as one of the 50 greatest ever, a cultural icon and a guy who will lead us to championship with an overlooked 36, 19 and 7

anything less and Ill be disappointed and want Phil fired

I give him 1 year

I agree, but only because Clyde will be in the same building to mentor him. he also has Fisher, and maybe even Isiah to help him with his game. This maybe the best situation for drafting a PG.

If you think people were upset with our bad luck with the draft lottery, just get them believing Mudiay could be our next Clyde and watch him get selected before we choose at 4. I am not going to set myself up for disappointment just yet. I will sit back and see who falls to us then get excited or disappointed with the pick.

Next Clyde Frazier? Pfft...Right. Kind of like how Marbury and Francis were going to be our Frazier and Monroe, right Larry? :banghead:

when's the last time we picked in the top 4?

Okay? But that doesn't doesn't change the fact that we all put extremely high expectations on players we draft or could draft when they have yet to prove themselves.

Could we wait a bit before the premature comparisons?

i'm not agreeing with the frazier comparison. i'm just saying that having star expectations of this pick is different than expecting that from gallo, chandler, fields, shumpert, or hardaway jr. etc

The neophyte will be dishing and swishing, huffing and stuffing, and my personal favorite, he'll have the crowd aroused.

If Phil pulled that off, I would put a put a paper bag over my head, paste a picture of Jeannie on it, poke a hole through the mouth, and give Phil the best BJ he's ever had in his entire life.[/quote]

Had we gotten the number 1 or 2 pick people would have been comparing Okafor and Towns to Reed and Ewing.
