I like the kid. Kind of reminds me of Mozgov, the way he finishes at the rim, though I think Mozgov is a better defender. I hope Willy continues to develop, and can contribute for the orange & blue real soon!

I guess like most rookies he will have to break in slowly. Must earn the trust of the coach. I wouldn't be surprised if our rookies are broken in slowly too. Better for them and the team, I think.

He's just not better than the guys ahead of him. They had a 16-year old in the guard rotation playing most of the second half.

That sucks. I hope that by the end of the year he's a solid rotation player for them, if not then there's really no point of bringing him over there.

He seemed to be stuck on the bench behind Ayon and Reyes. But he is young and he will learn and earn his minutes. He plays for one of the best teams in Europe, it is obvious he will have to earn every minute on the court.

We need to let this kid develop at his own pace. Every one thinks this kid is something special but we'll never really know until he makes it to the NBA and that may be a long time from now.

To be fair, the 16-year old can do a bit of everything and is looking like a top 3 pick in 3 years. Hernangomez just needs to learn from Ayon and Reyes who are both very smart players.

Sure, but Reyes is 35 and Ayon is a 4+4 guy in the NBA. I think Willy will progress nicely no matter what as long as he gets minutes. Dude is gonna be better than both of these guys in 2 years. Probably less than that.

Anyone catch hernangomez last night against the Celtics? He was only 2-6 in 21 minutes, but had a block and 7 rebounds (4 offensive!). Not terrible, but the rebounds are extremely good.

Also, wonder if Real Madrid has more games against NBA teams coming up?
