Must have Free agents (pick 1)

Post#1 » by kej718 » Fri Jun 26, 2015 3:05 pm

Who is the 1 player you think this team needs to get to the next level, and why?

My guy is Danny Green.
High basketball IQ, can defend, shoot the 3, playoff experience, can move without the ball, and is already from NY.
According to Ken Berger of CBS Sports, Green will command $10 to 12 million per season.

Green is the only guard this season to average more than one block and one steal per game!

“New York’s a great place, a great city,” Green told SheridanHoops. “A lot of people love coming and visiting here. You know Phil Jackson and Derek Fisher now are changing things around a little bit and I’m sure that they have more than enough cap space. They’re going to get some guys so it’ll be interesting. I think they’ll be able to get some good pieces in free agency during that time.”

it interesting we drafted Early a NY kid. We are rumored to be the favorites to sign David West who grew up in teaneck NJ (basically right across from manhattan). Maybe Danny Green is the next piece.

If we can somehow move calderon a Danny Green, David West, Greg Monroe offseason would be very very nice.

I'll gladly take one of: Danny Green, Khris Middleton (longshot), or DeMarre Carroll.

Green ($10-$12 mil), Carroll ($10-$12 mil) and Milsap ($16 mil) are at the top of my list for guys we could realistically get.

Id like to see us land a big man first

Obviously LMA and Gasol are top
then Milsap and Rolo

then Monroe

Monroe, Green and West. If we can swing which I don't think we can without moving Calderon but that would be who I would target

A cheap 3d swing (Green), cheap defensive big (Lopez) and no **** MONROE.

We need to save enough cap space to make a run at Durant next year

Aldridge, Gasol, Deandre Jordan, Lopez (10M)

I would offer the max to the first 3 guys. Kristaps as a strech 4 would fit with Gasol or Jordan.

Jimmy F'n Butler! w/ Asik or R. Lopez

Monte Ellis w/Amir Johnson

Kawhii Leonard w/ anyone

Monroe w/ Green - we need another scorer here. Maybe Lou Williams.

Monroe, West, and Carroll (As long as we ain't signing West long term)

I think Monroe is underrated but that's just me. Forgot about Deandre Jordan, he'll be nice.

I think after this Porzingis pick, Monroe is out of the picture, or he should be. Long term I don't see how Porzingis and Monroe would fit offensively, and God knows how bad that defense would be up front
