 It's even worse than that. What was he supposed to do? Text an individual restaurant owner to not let a player in the doors of his establishment because there's a possibility he's going to be traded?

How does that make you better than the Lin, Gallo, and Wil fans who root for them over NY?

Reading comprehension is a must for me.

But yeah, that's the last player I feel like Knicks fans were excited about at the time the pick was made.

Awkward
Part of me feels sorry for him, but another part of me is like "hahaha **** you for screwing up our #1 pick".

I remember Knicks fans cheering at the Barclays center when Silver announced that THJ was going to ATL for Grant.
Wow...

Berman is just a **** loser. Why the **** would PJax have to tell Clyde about the deal? How do we know that deal didn't happen during the draft? Spreading more toxic bull for a click. **** Vermin and Ebola. NYK fans deserve better journalism

Also Phil did what he said he would do: trade guys to teams where they would have a great chance. Timmy got dealt to ATL, a top team in the East, and he will have a great opportunity to continue on in his career. It's unfortunate that you have to give to get, but nature of the beast.

Timmy is a good player, will be a nice scoring punch for ATL.

No he isnt.

I can already see people freaking out when THJ averages 15 ppg next year, ignoring the fact that he is the worst defender in the league, a ball stopper, and a net negative when hes on the court.

Fuq Timmy for messing up our tank but do you guys think that we will eventually be thanking him for putting us in a position to draft Porzingis and not Towns?

That's too bad he found out like that.

Again- that's what I think happened with Melo. Melo hears the news and calls Timmy. Timmy tells him what happened and he goes something like "whoa bro, that's messed up" and all of a sudden it's "Melo is FURIOUS about draft night!!!!"

LOLZ - I don't envy these guys at all for the scrutiny they're under.

Does anyone know who was it that scouted the last two stiffs that the Knicks selected in the first round of the 2011 and 2013 drafts?

Why can't Timmy be a good 6th man type AND Grant be an Avery Bradley type? Why can't both be good and no freak outs are needed?

As much as I hate to say it, I think THJR is going to be one of those ex Knicks that will help a team go on a championship run.

Hes a mediocre shooter and ball handler and he is among the worst or the worst, at every other aspect of basketball. Hes just ot a good player. This era's lee nailon.

good.

This guy is the reason why we cant have Towns/Russell.

He's every bit responsible for his own trade.

I hope his defense STILL sucks next year

Grunwald & Donnie drafted Shumpert. Grunwald drafted Timmy.

My guess is either Rodney Heard (was let go after the draft), Grunwald, John Gabriel, & Donnie were involved. In fact, I think they drafted him because he hit a bunch of threes in his workout.

I know Grunnie drafted Timmy. My guess is that a scout, Walker Russell (from Michigan), may have looked at Timmy.

Lee Nailon was also a good scorer albeit deficient defensively and a black hole on offense. Hardaway is not a black hole though not a great passer. BTW why do you have a coward punching a Knick in your Avatar?

Dude, get over it. Just because he didn't blossom to Ray Allen doesn't make him worthless. Kid was unfortunately the reason we didn't get Towns because he went god-mode. Timmy is a good player. His defense is poor, so is Lou Williams, Nick Young, JR Smith, Bobby Jackson, Manu Ginobili, Ray Allen, Michael Redd, Alan Houston, Kevin Martin. You are pissed at him, I get it. Just be happy that we got 3 good pieces on draft night. If all goes well, over the past 2 drafts we will have 5 role players and 1 future star.
