the way i see it is if he's 1-3 NBA years away from being consistently productive on a level we'd expect from a top 4 pick then he's even more years away in euro league years just because of the obvious competitive disparity between the two. at this point playing in the NBA now is going to do more for his development than continuing to play against inferior competition in europe. he's not going to get better if he stays in europe nor is he going to learn fisher's system from there either. the sooner he starts playing against NBA players the faster his game will develop. also, imagine if he stayed there for 1-3 seasons and blows out his knee playing a meaningless game against worse competition in europe. this would obviously be a very bad thing. so considering all of this plus our obvious need for size, length and talent up front, other than some scenario in which it would for any reason make more sense to otherwise use the roster spot, i can't think of any reason to not bring him in immediately
