I mean i do see a scenario in which Cavs fail/disappoint this year and Cavs become willing to trade love for Melo in a year. Maybe trade Lopez too for a solid/young SG or SF to complete a rebuild. Porzingis and Love could possibly work together once Zinger grows into his body 2-3 years from now. Zinger covering the paint with Love gobbling up rebounds. Unprecedented elite shooting at the 4-5. Still not very likely.

Griffin for Melo is more unlikely. Not sure which of the two i prefer b/w Love and Griffin(in terms of fit with Zinger- love elite rebounder and griffin with more of inside game to complement Zinger)

Both these scenarios do have a 30+ superstar (Lebron/Paul) who may want immediate help for a future Championship. Still probably wont happen.

Edit: Speaking of which here is a new article/vid: WHo says no, Knicks or Cavs, in a Melo for Love swap? In the video he says Knicks say no.
