If knicks wanted a shooter I would have preferred they take a chance on a young guy with more upside but hey whateves, just gotta hope nobody gets hurt and he has to play more. HE's just a end of bench player.

Didn't think anyone would be able to fill the void left when we didn't re-sign Kenyon Martin, but Lou has been amazing!

I LOVE YOU, LOU!!

Lol Phil needs to stop trying to recreate the Lakers. First he goes after Odom, then he tries to get Pau, and now he signs this scrub. Bynum is probably next

Slava Medvendenko is next, since Phil thinks we need a backup C. It's gonna be him or DJ Mbenga again (can't believe you forgot him in your list of retreads).

My guess is that Sasha isnt going to play unless everyone gets injured, he is basically a player to help other guys during the training and allthat.
Thats the only thing that makes sense.

Damn, this might be the kind of move that propels the team to 11th seed.

As Phil said, if he had another few inches, he'd be a great player. I love how he forgets how short he is for the position and plays hard. He brings energy but within the system, so he's not out of control. We need him coming off the bench when we need to disrupt the other team's rhythm. I'm really glad he was re-signed.

He had a good year averaging almost 16 points per game on 44% from three:

A clutch player to take pressure off Melo in clutch moments? No brainer.

15 and a half thousand posts, 168 And1s. You never fail to contribute nothing to the conversation.

Anyway, if Phil sees a reason, so do I.

No one should know better than Phil what kind of locker room presence Sasha is. At his age, besides Melo, he's the only grizzled vet on the roster. A guy who has been through playoff battles and has contributed on a couple of title teams, winning the approval of his superstar teammate, Kobe Bryant, along the way. He played with Fisher, and again, played for Phil himself. So this isn't Phil grasping for straws, hoping Sasha is going to fill a hole in the offense. This is purely for the locker room.

Phil knows what type of guys to put around a star like Melo. And I think everyone agrees, there isn't many minutes for him or any other player we sign at this point, so if he can contribute anything on the court in a pinch, that's just a bonus. Especially at the absolute minimum salary.. this can only be a positive signing. Unless people really believe there was some other young guard out there that we're missing the opportunity to develop. Ledo had his chance and obviously didn't impress enough. Welcome to the Knicks and welcome back to the NBA, Sasha.

International 3's are long NBA 2's, so it doesn't matter what percentage he made taking a shorter shot in an inferior league.

Dude is a scrub, which is why he's been out of the league on a real level since 2011 -- I'm not counting his two game stint with the Clippers two seasons ago.

If Phil wants to give all of his ex-players roster spots, coaching/front-office jobs, whatever, that's fine, but let's not act like he's helping the team by doing so.

I'm pretty much over blind followers, they're one reason that teams never get any better because they're complicit in supporting a team's standard of mediocrity.

He's a veteran

But I don't think there is leadership that he would provide that would contribute to a win now scenario

Fans that are blind followers are a reason why teams never get any better?

Superstitious rubbish. I bet you think deities influence games too...
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

Well, signing Sasha and kicking Ledo to the curb confirms Ledo never rose above the rank of garbage.

Not exactly the aged vet OR young guy I was looking for, but who knows. Has some height for a guard, knows the system, happy to get some NBA $ so won't complain, rocks a mean hairnet.

Between Williams, Lopez and Sasha, the Knicks are certainly signing some interesting hair choices. Really need to add Boozers spray on head to complete the off season.
