Melo was crying and expressed a lot of great feelings. I see he's a good guy, and a real human being at heart. So what if his dunks are rare? He really stabilized the team, coordinated the defense, did heavy duty rebounding, and kept the crazies from taking over the team. haha. Welcome back to the Knicks, Melo.

Leading up to the Olympics, I saw and heard a lot of "experts" dissing on Carmelo and on Team USA's decision to have him start. I even remember one specifically saying that if Carmelo is the player taking the most shots, that the team was in big trouble. I'm really glad to see that he proved them wrong and showed the world that he's still got it. He played great during these games, and I'm excited to see what he can do this season now that he's got some real talent around him. I've got high expectations for the Knicks, should be a fun team to watch!

Most guys don't play 3 Olympics, let alone 4.

Unless Durant blows up in GS, and needs to repair his image I highly doubt he decides to go again.

It's not a downplay. It is what it is. It's a nice accomplishment, but not something you dedicate that much of your career to. Most guys go get 1 or 2, then bow out for the younger generation.

A lot of it is timing. Melo could have gotten 4 since he made the team as like a 20 year old.

Anthony davis could have done it if he was on this years team.

This years team didn't have any real young guys.

You basically have to be good/fortunate enough to make the team as a youngin

Durant would be like 35 in 2024. Even if he was still good enough to make the team i doubt he would go.
