i don't think the jazz would.

I think they would. They have George Hill, Dante Exum, and Shelvin Mack all ahead of Burke.

Wade is never ever ever leaving Miami. They have played this dance many times. Every time he is a FA, the two sides are moving slowly, and he will listen to offers, and then bam, he gets a deal with MIami.

oh, i'm well aware of that. that's why i said i don't think it'd ever happen. the knicks are only used by FA as a leverage tool to get a better contract from another team.

After we get a better idea of our FA signings I wouldnt mind throwing an offer out there for Harkless. He played very well at the end of the season and in the playoffs.

wasn't burke a lotto pick a couple years ago? probably takes more than a second to get him.
However id give a couple 2nd rounders for him in a heartbeat.

With the average starter poised to make 15 million per at least, going after max cats still look like the best deal. Get a max cat at SG or center, fill the other spot with couple of down the hill veterans, extend Galloway and Thomas. Hope for the best.

This makes good sense. KD, Horford, Whiteside, Beal, Fournier, maybe Parsons. Offer the max (some are at $22M max) and then fill in around them.

I don't think Durant/DeRozan/Batum/Horford/Lebron are coming.

Gasol/Howard/Whiteside/Wade aren't fits imo.

Bazemore/Crabbe/Lee/Parsons/Noah/Harkless. 2 of those 3 and I'm good.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/vertical-pod-with-chris-mannix--adrian-wojnarowski---frank-vogel-144313211.html

if you have time, listen to this podcast.

woj says the following are the ranges for these free agents.

jeremy lin - 12 mill
marvin williams - 14 mill
nic batum - 20 mill

just to name a few

he also says that after the max guys go, people around the league will be hesitant to offer that first big contract to a mediocre guy because it was set the precedence.

interesting podcast by woj.

All this Crabbe talk what do you think we could offer for the Blazers not to match? You can't get him on the cheap. The 10-12 mil dollar contract is out of the question Blazers would match and not think twice about.

If you remove his name and look at his numbers and amount of minutes he played last year 6 mil might be generous.

he avg 25 minutes a game last year. What makes you think he will drop 10-15 minutes a game?

He was also 8 and 7 with 1.5 blocks per game in 25 minutes. His per 36 #'s are still a double double really good and for 5 million its a steal.

well he'll be a year older and his playoff performance was downright sad to watch.

He's still making pretty much the exact same as KOQ is making. And I would rather have Tim Duncan over KOQ.
