Armchair scouts.

GOAT center. LOOK AT THE HIGHLIGHTS!

Big Snacks  Even in his highlight vid you can see him laboring to get to his spots. Didn't he have one behind the back drive from the 3 point line that had us all rolling?

Jerome James could have been better if he took care of his body a bit more. You can see some NBA skills - not great but passable - there but also a guy that wasn't really in NBA shape. IMO, Isiah's tragic flaw was that he seemed to assume that every player possessed the same killer instinct that he had but that it just needed to be unlocked... by him. He probably did have that impact on guys as a player but as an exec he chased failed potential guy after failed potential guy and none of them turned around and "got it." Some guys never make the transition. Particularly paired together.

Also of note: That horrible, crippling contract he had? What was it? 5-6mil? I wouldn't advocate picking up a guy like him for any amount because of his work ethic. But in today's cap scenario you'd hardly notice.

Not only the final score of 109-59, but the non-effort shown in losing the battle of the boards 41-25 while losing this battle at Lithuania's own end 15-14 is just inexcusable. The one thing I've always been able to count on against anybody with the possible exception of the U.S. is that Lithuania would pull down at least as many rebounds as the opposition. But not on Saturday against Spain.

I don't know what to think. I don't know if even a medal will dispel the hollow feeling in my stomach now.

Dont be ashamed, you can consider that they threw the match so that they wouldn't meet USA until finals..

makes sense huh?

Well not really. Regardless of the result of the Spain game, Lithuania will finish in first place in Group B with a win against Croatia later tonight. So the Lithuanian team played against Spain with the intensity they'd have in a friendly. Spain meanwhile was desperate because a loss could potentially have eliminated them after tiebreakers. And of course the disparity in intensity showed on the court.

But the 109-59 is still an official result! The only possible way it can be eliminated is if the Spanish team fails a drug test or something.

Radically Canadian! Real men only need three downs.

Lol.
New Yorkers already on Willys nuts when he still has not suited up in a Blue and Orange uniform.

Classic

You dudes remember Raef Lafrentz?

That is who Willy may become if he works hard and fulfills the potential and develops his skills.

The path to becoming like him would be.

16-17 40 games 5 mpg 4ppg 2 rpg as the third center with some stint in the nbdl
17-18 60 games 10 mpg 6 ppg 4 rpg as the third center eating up some minutes from the back up , no nbdl
18-19 82 games 20 mpg 9 ppg 6 rpg as the back up center
19-20 82 games 30 mpg 11 ppg 7 rpg as the starter
and then he gets his fat Lafrentz contract because, lack of quality centers always gets you paid.
prime numbers 34 mpg 14 ppg 9 rpg.

the question is not his skills, he is got the skills to get there.

the question is his mental fortitude to endure the process and not give up because of the lack of minutes initialy.
HIs ( more talented, higher ceilling) brother is going to face the same challenge in denver.

The bad news is...............spaniards have proven so far not to react very well to the lack of minutes at their nba first seasons.

the ones that have panned out, like the G bros , Calderon, Mirotic etc had them minutes from teh get go.

But the Rudys, Sergios, Claver, Navarro etc, didnt take very well not being awarded the role they had pictured in their minds and ended up busting.

Is going to be a bumpy road for Willy, lets hope Some Zen and some KP friendship can make him complete the process sucesfully

No, we all decided you were right in that he's the next Raef LaFrentz, who sort of sucked, so we all lost interest in him.

So, how'd he do again against Team USA?

Definitely can't wait to see him in the game for Bronze.
