I'm pissed I didn't get a breaking news alert.

And there was another explosion earlier today at a Marine 5K run in a New Jersey this morning. This world is going to **** - it's a scary world we live in.

Hope everyone here and those affected in ANY way are ok.

It was on the news here in Japan before it hit the news in the States. (Had to search to find a link in English.) Still trying to find out if my relatives in the area are okay. (I'm betting they're fine, but still....)

I hope they're ok. Thankfully the reported injuries aren't major and are mostly a result of broken glass.

Three friends of my friends were close as well and they're ok.

Also multiple stabbings at a Mall in Minnesota, 1 reported dead - at least 6 stabbing victims...potential active shooter situation still on going.

It's being reported in the Japanese news now as a terrorist act, with 29 injured (1 seriously). Everyone I know is safe. Again, best wishes to everyone.

i work at ucb theatre on 26th and 8th, i heard the explosions but thought it was a freight truck unloading
