ESPN First Take: Are the New York Knicks the Worst Franchise in $ports?

Post#1 » by Knickkilla » Tue Oct 25, 2016 8:54 pm

Well 2 "Knick Fans" are going at it discussing if our a Team is the worst franchise in sports.

I for one am looking forward to the Prozingas Era, even though 2002 - 2012 was a really bad decade, we have a lot to look forward to, don't you guys think?

Until the Chicago Cubs complete their World Series run and become Champions for the first time since 1908, there's no way the NY Knicks are the worst sports franchise.

Now, are they the worst NBA franchise? Debatable. Clippers have been pretty awful for a very long time and even with Chris Paul haven't made the Finals once. The Sixers are pretty awful. You can make a case but there's no question, the Knicks are one of the most disappointing sports franchises that can't catch a break.

No but ESPN First Take is the worst show in the history of sports shows

The only reason that show gets any views is because of the sexy, thick and seductive Molly. They had to get her just to get guys to tune in to that pathetic show.

They definitely left the Browns out of the discussion on purpose with Stephen A standing in front of a bunch of Clevelanders

I had forgotten that KP missed that one easy layup. (The First Take interns at ESPN must have really searched the game tapes to find that one miss. Hat's off to them for putting in those long hours....)

I for one can't wait for this season to start. I think a lot of people are going to be eating crow by the end of this year.

And if we crash and burn (again)? No worries there either--we still have our first round pick, and the draft class looks deep.

Worst franchise in sports? Hell nah

1 of the worst franchises in the NBA (especially in the last 15 years)? Unfortunately I'm probably gonna have to say yes

4 playoff appearances since 2001 (only been out of the 1st round once), the worst defense in the NBA since 2001, Dolan, so much off the court fuqqery, so many different coaches, so many bad trades and FA signings...

thank God we have KP now

that's typical of espn. on the opening day to call us the worst franchise in sports. we have two titles I don't care if they are from 43 years ago but at least we don't have some tittles cuz a lot of teams don't.

ESPN really knows how to push Knicks fans buttons. Why does anyone pay attention to these asscliwns delivering their totally scripted rants? They get you guys every time.

The Knicks have had two Finals appearances in the last few decades, and a lot of wins from about 1990 to 2000. Since then it's been about as bad as it can get. So I don't know how you judge it.

But I do know that the reason they're even having that segment is that a) a lot of people hate the Knicks and b) a lot of people love the Knicks. So if you're a producer, it's a great subject to devote time to. Doubt they'd have it about the Sacramento Kings.

If you're picking from among all roster and cap situations, the Knicks are nearing the middle of the pack now, and if KP is really good, they're in good shape. For instance, would you choose Atlanta over the Knicks? I don't think it's a no-brainer. They may win more but can't win a title. They don't have any great young players, assuming KP is that. Their cap is fine. They're probably too good to get a top pick. Just to take one comparison. The analysis might be similar with teams like the Raptors too.

Everything went downhill for ESPN when they decided to turn Cold Pizza into First Take

Anybody remember Cold Pizza with Jay Crawford? That was a very good show, Skip Bayless was on it too. It was balanced and not annoying as First Take with Screamin A Smith. That dude is a puppet clown.

Bring back Cold Pizza and get rid of First Take and get rid of both Screamin A and Max they both are awful.

Everything Max said was true. When you factor in our location, and how much we spend, and our results, we are definitely a laughing stock.

I wish I had a "terrible" franchise that is worth an NBA best $3 billion and ranked 7th by Forbes in most valuable sports franchises in the World.

Seriously though, the only goal of something like this (that is based purely on opinion) is to...well...express opinions...which like a popular smelly body orifice...everyone and their mom has.
