According to iSportsTimes, a three-way trade sending Anthony to Cleveland would also bring Kevin Love to the Boston Celtics. The Celtics, meanwhile, would package guard Avery Bradley and forward Jae Crowder to the New York Knicks.

I think the speculation was that Love wasn't playing that well (again). But supposedly he's picked up his game recently. I haven't been following the Cavs, so I really don't know.

I like Melo a lot but a part of me feels that it is best for both sides, us and him, if he ends up on a contender. Melo gave us his all but the assets that we had to give up to get him really hindered us into shaping a contender around him.

Golden State will be hard-pressed to contain a LeBron-Melo front court wherein KD is going to have to end up having to cover one of them.

Love is a better shooter and rebounder than Melo, the Cavs as a team have no use for Melo, other than probably iso Melo which they already have in iso Kyrie and iso LeBron, which are way more effective. The only way Cavs get Melo is if LeBron pushes for it for emotional/ sentimental value, he wants to see his buddy win a ring, and win together, but then again maybe not at the expense of trading away Love. Cavs, Clippers could use Melo but not at expense of trading away their core. They'd part ways with young unproven talent and future picks.

You are right but how things would have been different if Melo decided to be a little riskier and told Denver to fuq it and waited half a season longer. We may not have been able to re-sign Ill Will to make space for Melo but we would still have Gallo, Mozgov, Felton (who was having a good season) and our first round picks which we could have packaged out to get Chris Paul. We also wouldn't have used our amnesty on Billups, a guy who we just extended, and could have reserved it for Amare down the road, ending up in more cap space.
