Well, nothing we didn't already know. It just seems like even with the Melo situation to work out, things are easier if we just let Rose walk.

There is no need to have Rose without Melo.

Nets should offer Gallinari 4 years 94 million. Something similar to Parson.

Rose shouldn't really be a thought unless he's willing to take a massive pay cut. Even then I'd be like '"don't be a fool, go somewhere else".

I doubt the Nuggets lock themselves into a deal like that given Gallo's injury history.

That buyout option is magnificent. Cut loose with no future attachments. Clean slate

I really didn't know Melo's trade kicker bumps up his cap hit 34.3 mil next season. We stuck, nobody absorbing that.

Right and the Nets should grab a good starter and these days they cost that much money. It's a gamble and Gallinari can definitely play within Atkinson's system. Nets should be a treadmill team until they can grab picks back, last thing we need is for Boston to have another no.1 pick next year.

I truly believe the Nets played as good as the Knicks last year despite the win totals. They had zero talent and most of their games were within their reach. Once Lin got back, the Nets were playing .500 ball I believe.

I thought kicker was 15%? Why is it now 34.3 million?

Clippers would take it..or a team that doesn't have the ability of acquiring assets through free agency

Even then, I don't want Rose back as a PG. If he wants to play SOLELY at SG, then sure (under a REASONABLE contract).

His (Rose's) terrible passing pissed off enough people (including Porzingis).

Gallo & Kilpatrick would form a NICE offensive duo with Lin feeding them, and RHJ would do the dirty work.

why tie up money in gallo if you're the nets. he's too old. you just suffer for one more year and then you're ok. you have bostons pick and washingtons pick this year. just scout well. try to find someone in europe or something. and only spend money on young players who might improve. they'll probably figure it all out before we do to be honest.

With alimony and child support, I don't blame him. But the idea is that he can negotiate a new contract with someone else. Probably a better option than coming off the bench for a lottery team, or not playing at all, in which case it probably marks the end of his NBA career.

Solution at point guard

The easiest path would be to throw big money at Derrick Rose and lock him into a long-term contract.
did this sentence infuriate anyone else like it did me?

I highly dohbt Melo is coming off the bench next year if he's with us.

Anyways, my bet is that he stays in NY. It's just a gut feeling, but I think he stays. If he isn't here, I'm sure Phil will have found another way to **** everything up even more than it currently is.

If Melo were to accept a buy out, the Nets could be a suitor. He gets to still start, chuck as many shots as he wants, stay in NY with his family, and have a chance to give it to the Knicks the most potential times.
