Sounds like Mardy Collins, except for the athletic part.

doctor fite wrote:the bench - keep it short but effective (a guy who can knock down threes and shoot the lights out from 10-15 feet) another front court guy who plays D like a tyson chandler or udonis haslem type and of course another point.

The first guy you described sounded like Nate Robinson.

Although your plan doesn't seem to include either players. Also saying you want players like Bruce Bowen and Tyson Chandler off the bench is something a lot of team would want, but none really can actually get.

TKF

Why, because so we'll never have to see guys like Gibert Arenas, Mike Dunlevey, Wally Szerbiack or any other player who hasn't won anything. And he'll rationalize with others in a thought out, never give up manner. If nothing else he's Anti-Isiah. He'll bring a winning attitude and culture to this team. And Stutter can be his assistant if he so accepts the job.

nate is young and has value but he's close to the end of his contract like david lee (i'd love to keep both players but not if we need to resign them and it keeps us away from a FA we need in 2010 or 2011. I say trade them while they are under contract with us and still valuable.

a bruce bowen or tyson chandler type...

bowen has been a FA and we never pursued him. james posey is a bowen type and he's been available before.

i mentioned haslem as a tyson chandler type he's probably getable and has been. ben wallace bounced around the league in boston, washington and orlando... he was a player i knew i liked early on in his career and always wanted the knicks to pursue him before. just never materialized.

am i correct in assuming that you like the rest of my plan?

I would choose Cosmic as Knicks GM, because you know he'd stream every game and practice over the internet in HD.

For me it would be for that poster who came up with that topic about the type of female "assets". That was my 1st post in RGM. I think is was moooocow but I could be mistaken. Can someone refresh my mind and tell me who it was?

mardy had a 37.5" vertical, which is pretty darn alright but he was also slow in the agility drills (12 and 3.21)

anyway, I think the obvious choice would be kosmovitelli. but I think there are at least a dozen people here I would trust as well, as long as they had someone show them the ropes first since I'm sure there's a lot of stuff that's involved that we don't really know about.

If I were to fill out the whole organization with posters though here's what I think I would do:

Bill Bradskey- nutritionist in charge of putting the big guys on a vegan diet. I'm sure he'd turn Eddy, Zach and Jerome into 100 pound Ethiopians/Asian women in no time.

boomann- in charge of getting the big booty bitches for the team, so they wouldn't risk sexually harassing coworkers.

knicks742- stylist in charge of making sure jerome, mardy, malik and 'effries look good on the bench in their street clothes. (sorry if this is based on a mistaken stereotype of peruvians being known to dress really well)

nyknicks2k2- banning Isiah

moocow- international scouting, so he can find the next batum, ibaka and ian mahinmi.

manhattan project- dj/sound guy for the arena. will keep the garden rocking with all the latest beats/choons.

briggs- big man scouting at the collegiate level to find the next amare, bynum (and um, mcgee and randolph).

bno- pg scouting so he can continue his unending quest to find the replacement for methbury.

optimus- high school scouting so he can drool over the next high school all-american with a 40" vertical, insane handles, and an IQ of a sack of rocks.

hoodie- will be present at all trade proposals so he can either stare the other team down and tell them to gtfo or start pretending to fap and provide his signature on trades.

cosmic- in charge of msg's highlight packages and game archiving.

tkf- defensive coach who won't let the players get away with any of the soft bullchit.

Surely you jest, sir!! Do you not realize that this esteemed message board complex might be close to a ghost town if such were to happen? Do you want to see the demise of this fine establishment? :o

Ok, how about I be given the ability to flag bad trade ideas with a "Bad trade idea" label and a way for people to killfilter it?

bNo would bring back the glory days of Truck Robinson and Marvin Webster...not to mention the really short shorts and mutton chops. So he's definitely got my vote. Sorry Vdizle, between cute booty and mutton chops, I go chops 9 out of 10.

I co-nominate Stutterstep and Kos. Both have very good but very conflicting ideas about building a team. It would either work in a perfect yin-yang harmony creating a championship team in mere milliseconds or result in an entertaining fight to the death.

TKF, DocSithMirth, Moocow, Retired Jersey, and Joe T are also good picks.
