OT: Clippers Sign Bookie 2 Offer Sheet

Post#1 » by TheBluest » Fri Jul 18, 2008 1:57 am

LOL @ the Clippers mopping up by ransacking the Warriors FA's. Very smart move because the Warriors have failed to sign Monta & Biendrins but went out and signed Magz, which means their cap figures are tight with Monta's and Biendrins's cap holds. Plus if they match Bookie's offer which I bet was between $3-5mil/yr, they eat into the cap space even more which means near Lux Tax probably for them if they resign Ellis and AB to their projected salary figures for a team that more than likely won't make the playoffs.

Mullin better dump Harrington real fast.

I forgot they signed Predator to an offer sheet their cap is even more tighter and the fact Mullin has signed two FA not his own to contracts/offer sheets will only piss off his own FA. Monta doesn't want to play for them anymore anyway.

BTW I wasn't hating on the Clips, if they are able to acquire Bookie their off-season was an outstanding success IMO.

i think this a player the knicks should have gone after from the begining. he plays defense, rebounds, shoots, drives to the hoop and can run the floor.

Excellent little signing. KA put up fantastic numbers when he got minutes during Stephen Jackson's suspension. I don't think the Warriors are in position to match. If they don't, this makes Cuttino Mobley even more expendable.

And plays the same position as Wilson Chandler, Renaldo Balkman, Denilo Gallinari, and Quentin Richardson. We needed a point guard and a shot blocker, not another young swing player who needs minutes to develop.

i would have used him as the 6th man sg / sf ( but if can start in LA good for him he deserves a spot ) ahead of balkman... the guy could have been the shooter thethe knicks were looking for dantoni system but they signed roberson for less.
