Rotation

Post#1 » by Cut1er » Sat Jul 19, 2008 3:01 pm

Zach**/ Eddy
Lee/ Gallo
Chandler/ Balkman/ Collins*
Crawford/ Q Rich
Duhon/ Nate

*I think we should try Collins as a SF, that way he can use his quickness to get to the rim, and passing ability is just an added bonus

** Zach at Center, He rebounds, can shoot, and is quicker than most centers in the league

this is probably the lineup that we will use, but i still think marbury will run the floor for at least a few weeks into the season....

Yeah, this is tricky, I can't see us going with Zach AND Eddy on the floor at the same time given D'Ant wants to run & gun...I can definitely see him going with a Lee/Zach frontcourt until we revamp those positions through some trades.

It's so obvious:

5. Balkman
4. Gallinari
3. Chandler
2. Nate
1. Crawford
--
6. Lee
7. Duhon
8. Roberson
9. Rose

Anybody can see that.

Or the "100 FGA/Game just for the starting five" lineup:

5. Curry
4. Randolph
3. Richardson
2. Crawford
1. Marbury
---
6. Lee
7. Duhon
8. Robinson
9. Chandler

Anything but the Larry Brown "no set rotation for the whole season" lineup is fine with me.

If it were up to me, I'd go this way...

Randolph
Gallo
Chandler
JC
Du-du

With Nate, Lee, Taz, and maybe some JSlim off the bench. Mardy gets some minutes sprinkled here and there. No Q, Marb, and Curry for me.

But knowing our organization, it's probably going to go like this...

Curry
Randolph
Chandler
JC
Du-du

With Nate, Gallo, Lee, Q, and possibly some Taz and JSlim off the bench.

Do you guys really think Chandler will start? or is it wishful thinking?

Very wishful thinking. Q, IMO will get the start, but hopefully Wilson destroys him in training camp, forcing MikeD's hand.

Gallo would get destroyed if he started at PF this year. Then he'd be run out of town by angry mobs of New Yorkers.

In all seriousness, if it were up to me, I'd reluctantly start Balkman at the 4 because he's our only athletic big man with any hopes of blocking a shot. I would not play Randolph and Curry at the same time. Give Zach 30 minutes and EC 18.

5. Randolph/Curry
4. Balkman/Lee
3. Chandler/Gallinari
2. Crawford/Nate
1. Duhon/Crawford

My line-up would be

C-Zach/Lee
Pf-Lee/Gallo/Balkman
Sf-Chandler/Balkman/Collins
Sg-Jamal/Nate/Roberson
Pg-Duhon/Jamal/Nate

No Q, no JJ, no Curry.

Wow! With all that uncertain rotation speculation, and changes to the line-up more varied than every twist of a kaleidoscope, it is plain to see that the only thing the Knicks are set to do this upcoming season, is Tank early and tank fast.

WTF, D'Antoni has to have a grace year. Most playoff teams, tweak here and there or do a block buster deal that puts them over the top. As much as I would like, as a long suffering Knicks fans who has the ignominy of being from NY (the Mecca of BBall) with a team which has sucked with endurance, the Knicks can do neither. I'll be saving my "Knick" dollars this year.
