Crawford says, "NO, he shot close to 50% one season. Jumpshooters are not supposed to do that. He must be on the juice, or have good shot selection..."

He's signed but it's not a guaranteed roster spot. If he can't play, he'll just get kicked upstairs to a front office job.

I'd like to see this happen. He may be up there in age, but let's not count the old guys out yet. Remember when Grant Hill torched us in december, with like 28 points on 13 of 17 shooting under Mike D?

Even if he's not able to contribute much on the floor, It might also be worth it just to have the guy in the locker room. Instead of having JJ1 wasting a roster spot, I'd love to have Allan back.

"I don't know the answer to that," Walsh said, when asked whether Houston would definitely play for the Knicks this season. "But as far as putting the ball in the basket, he absolutely can still shoot. He has to be in more intense situations."

Houston is expected to sign a contract paying him the league minimum salary of $1.26 million for a player of 10 or more years experience, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. If he doesn't make the team, he will probably be retained in some front-office capacity.

If he does make the team, Houston, who wore No. 20 throughout his career, will wear No. 14 in honor of his dad Wade, who wore the number as the first African-American player at the University of Louisville.

I kinda like what Donnie is doing. Bring on Pat's son, give H20 another shot. Makes losing Marbury an easy pill to swallow since he's showing loyalty to (former) Knick greats. These are good moves that would counter, what I consider a hasty decision buying out Marbury. But showing love to past Knicks, for me, makes dumping Steph easier since I know Allan played with fire. We need that on a roster riddled with little girls.
Those last 70 seconds, Randle in a nut shell.

Awful 2 for 1 3PT attempt when we are up 2
Doesn’t close out on Sabonis --> open 3
Takes another side step off balance 3

We got sucked into the Randle vortex where all good feelings go to die.

Some of this is kind of hokey. We'll see soon enough how long all the feel good story lines last.

Everything Isiah did, he did with disrespect to the KNicks history and organization. Walsh is the anti-Isiah.

Love that H20 is trying to come back and that walsh is giving him a shot. D'antoni's system is tailor made for shooters like Allan.

As for marbury, I think its all about how he goes in camp. How the players react to him and how he reacts to everyone. If he is useful and we all know the talent is there , it might be worth keeping him this last year.If not, we ALL know he is a goner

He can still shoot. But his knees are shot. He can probably still camp out by the 3 point line and just shoot treys for 20 minutes a game. But I doubt he can beat out the younger guys to make the squad.

H2O was great Knick, awesome shot, classy dude, but they gave him way too much money back then...whoa. He should play for free...100 mill is a lot of money for Allan Houston.
If you have no critics you'll likely have no success.

If he's signed for the reported amount, he would be playing for the absolute minimum that the players union allows him to play for.
