This is why we need LOTTERY PICKS.
Crawford is going to opt out and we are going to be screwed.
We need a PG/SG/SF/PF/C
Chandler needs o improve his handle. All he has is that spin move which isn't going to cut it for a starter.
Derozan or Jennings NEED to be a Knick next year.

Re: what our missing piece is?
If we don't make the playoffs we should have a top 10 pick, that cusp before the playoffs usually has more western teams. So say we get at top 10 we should be able to get one of those guys, someone always falls, or hopefully trade up. Rubio intrigues me b/c I would love to see a franchise pg. I agree about Griffen, but thought I would add him in. DeRozen and Jennings are high on my board too, as are all those guys.
Not to bring it up again, but still think that a Camby Jordan for ZBo future PROTECATED 1st (like in several years, which might be the earliest we can give one) is a deal I would do if it was on the table again, if we want to be a playoff caliber team and save cap.
I still keep some faith in the '10 plan and getting LBJ as ideal, but even a Wade or Bosh, that really answers a couple "NEEDS"

I think if ZBo shows a commitment to passing the ball and not letting the offense stagnate his value around the league will rise immensely, he'll still be a no defense scorer, but with better ball movement he'd be efficient enough to warrant being a starter for a contender and we could see Camby and Jordan for ZBo materialize without the first round. However a Curry and heavily protected pick for Camby deal would make sense as it would make us better in the short run and rid us of Curry's 2010 salary.
I really hope Craw gets traded at some point this year and if he's doing well than that just ensures we can get more value for him, Craw for Howard once Mavs fans get sick of his camping at the arc and off the court mess ups would make me giddy, assuming craw starts hitting some of his shots.

The missing peice is a player who's very talented, can play good defense, can shoot at a high percentage, and is a good ball mover and assit maker. In other words, a more defense oriented, and better shooting Lebron James.

Who's quick enough to play the 2 guard.

missing piece? none.
we have a lot of missing pieces....
we need athletic big men who like to play defense, no more of the slow curry's, rose's, randolph's, or james'.
we then need high character chemistry winning attitudes. no more stephon marbury's...
we need defensive minded players.
we need a young star player.

our missing piece right now is (ironically) Marcus Camby, then we fill our need for a SG by drafting James Harden.

Joe Johnson, Ricky Rubio, Hasheem Thabeet, Dionte Christmas Claver=
Rubio/Nate
Johnson/Christmas

Gallo/Claver
Thabeet/Jeffries
