Marchand says Nate and Steph into starting lineup tonight

Post#1 » by DE FENSE » Tue Oct 21, 2008 3:15 pm

Just said on 1050 that the lineup will be

Duhon
Nate
Steph
ILLson
DLee

I'm into that lineup, small but very dangerous. Then Zach, Jamal, Q, Mardy off the bench.

I wouldn't mind bringing Nate off the bench though, cus if it ain't broke...

it's preseason you have to try different lineups in game situations and see what works best.

i like this lineup a lot

maybe it will light a fire up jamal's lackadaisical ass.

How is Duhon going to guard Small Forwards?

I dont really like this, i dont care how strong Marbury is, he cant guard Pierce. Well, neither can any of our other guys, so whatever.

If Isiah marched this lineup out he would be many colorful names and adjectives.

I don't think this has anything to do with matchups tonight against the C's and everything to do with trying a different look before the games start to count.

Could it be because Isiah had absolutely no offensive scheme or game plan? If Isiah trots that lineup out with the gameplan of feeding the post, he deserves to be force fed his own popcorn as far as I am concerned.
Those last 70 seconds, Randle in a nut shell.

Awful 2 for 1 3PT attempt when we are up 2
Doesn’t close out on Sabonis --> open 3
Takes another side step off balance 3

We got sucked into the Randle vortex where all good feelings go to die.

Exactly, but it doesn't even matter because IT didn't think Chandler was good enough to get minutes on a 23 win team, let alone start. :nonono:

But yet he drafted him. That is a weird coincidence.

I like it. Thats what preseason is for. To do some experimentation. Kinda like college. With that lineup we should def press, trap, zone up and run em to death. Will def be a fun game to watch, too bad i think i will have to miss this one.

Man, hopefully this is not the permanent lineup. Nate as the fireplug from the bench is a luxury to have.

Well we know Zach will be a starter.

MikeD has removed Q and Crawford! This is a small warning to Duhon: nothing's guaranteed Dudu!

If D'Antoni is trying out nonsensical lineups in his fourth year with players he brings in, I'll be just as outraged.

And then he benched him until injuries forced him to play...strange coincidence as well.

So are you guys saying that he drafted him bud didn't want him to play. Is that what you are saying here? Most rookies are brought along slowly and you guys are complaining that he didn't come in and immediatly get a starting spot. I know the dislike for Isiah is strong but these statements are border line delusional. He drafted the freaking guy along with Nate, Lee and Mardy. Do you guys take yourselves serioulsy because I don't.

Isiah Thomas is a pretty good drafter. But when it comes to utilizing those players that he's drafted..He doesn't have a clue. Mostly because the system that he used is very simple...it's called "No System"
