Bulls interested in Zach? [source link provided]

Post#1 » by 2010 » Thu Oct 23, 2008 7:14 pm

A league executive said that the Chicago Bulls have interest in New York Knicks forward Zach Randolph to solve their low-post scoring problems, but don’t have a package that would interest New York.

We kept saying over the summer they needed a low post scorer. We kept saying Randolph would be a solution to their woes. They kept saying they want nothing to do with him. Let 'em rot. We'll finish with a better record than them. Let 'em rebuild 'til eternity.

They have Rose Almighty what do they need Zach for? The rumor sounds fishy anyway.

I'd expect that Walsh will be looking for more than merely expiring deals, especially after the way that Zack has played this preseason.

Eddy, on the other hand...

The Bull are locked with their salary cap.

I'd deal Randolph in a heart beat for Hughs and Gooden.

I'd throw in Roberson too if we could get back Nichols.

We always hear that the Knicks don't have a package that would interest other teams. It feels weird seeing someone write that another team doesn't have a package that would interest New York. :D

honestly, as bad as our front office has been the last 5+ years, the bulls have been ridiculously stubborn in obtaining a big man after the failed experiment of curry and chandler.

the should have gone after kg or gasol but they thought deng, gordon and the rest of their perimeter players were more important. what do they have to show for it? a 2nd round exit?

now they have a bunch of stiffs in gooden, noah, and tyrus. dont get me wrong, they are good solid role players, but none of them can get you easy lowpost buckets which they desperately lack. gray actually looked good in the post last year but im still not sold on him.

they know that a player like randolph is what they need, but that would mean admitting that they're front office moves have all been for naught and i think they refuse to let that happen.

until then, theyre gonna let their fans think that they have a future with drose but unless he gets some complimentary dominant big man, they are gonna be mediocre for a long time.

I would love to somehow get Noah from them. He would be perfect for D'Antoni and this team. At least perfect within reason.

You have it correct - Bulls are worried about Lux Tax. Owner refuses to exceed it. Bulls have not even used their MLE or the Traded Player Exception ($5.2 million) that they got from the Ben Wallace trade.

I have no problem with your trade offers. However, I dont think the Bulls owner will take a chance on Zach - and his salary is major factor

I suspect Zach's agent (same as Ben Gordon's agent) of planting another story.

Remember that he planted the story that Moscow was about to offer Ben big bucks - and the CSKA Moscow executives said they never talked to anyone about Gordon.

Gooden is a knucklehead and pretty low IQ. Other than that he's decent.

He is like Crawford at the PF position he does things and you just have to scratch your head.

quoted from wiki

"As a professional, Gooden has established himself as a solid power forward, consistently bringing down double digit numbers in points and rebounds. He is also considered a good guy on and off the court, named one of the "Good Guys in Sports" by The Sporting News."

I tend to agree with this

I can believe this...

Or even from our camp since we now view Chandler as a 4 and the off-season botched up rumors concerning Zach. It's really been a period of the last 4mos trying to build his value up

I would do Zach for Hughes and Noah as long as we cut James and Roberson. Zach has been playing well, but if you can clear his salary and get a young player who would probably do well in D'antonis system you gotta do it

Lets not be Greedy. Randolph still plays no D.

If I can snag a young prospect then this is a no brainer.

Noah would be preferable but that's not likely. I would settle for Tyrus.

You think they would trade Thomas before they trade Noah? I think they would probably trade Noah first.
