Harrington talks still centered on Lee

Post#1 » by VirginiaKnickFan » Thu Nov 6, 2008 11:20 am

Three for Al?

Walsh has had conversations with the Warriors about disgruntled forward Al Harrington, but the Warriors won't make a deal that doesn't include David Lee. However, there is talk that the Knicks could try to bring a third team - perhaps the Bobcats, according to the Charlotte Observer - into the discussion in order to land the athletic 6-10 forward/center, whom Walsh drafted for the Pacers in 1998.

not sure i see anything on Charlotte that GSW would want. Maybe Carrol or something?

I would love to get MJ involved in this trade. He is a terrible GM. maybe we could swap Richardson for Crawford or something in this trade.

I'm thinking its going to turn out to be Lee and Curry to GSW for Marcus Williams and Al Harrington...makes the absolute most sense for both teams. Then we'd finally have a real starting calibur point guard, I really don't know why Don Nelson doesnt like that guy...

I don't see a single starting caliber point guard going to NY in this deal.

The only way i trade Lee in this deal is if we dump a terrible contract, so Eddy, Jamal or Jeffries have to go.

How about:

Lee
Jamal
Jeffries

For
Harrington
Belinelli

marcus williams is not that good- neither is al harrington. I guess getting rid of curry's contract is one thing but eh... those guys are as allergic to defense as the guys we already have on our team.

I think golden state's front office has a high opinion on harrington's value- this is not a buy low/cheap situation. we see him as just an expiring, they see him as a talented scoring forward- I don't see any deal happening.

The only way I'd throw Lee into a 2-team deal with GS would be....

Eddy and D-Lee for Harrington and Randolph or Eddy and D-Lee for Harrington and B. Wright.

Brandon Wright looked terrific against the Nuggets last night - he is extremely athletic, runs the court like a high end small forward.

GS is either doing 1 of 2 things.....

They have either moved on in terms of playing Harrington and are going to give his minutes to Wright

or

They have had discussions with Knicks or other teams about a Harrington / Wright packaage and they are showcasing Wright for the interested parties.

Eddy and Lee for Harrington and Wright would be a nice deal for the Knicks.

Wrights upside is far superior to D-Lee's or Eddy Currys.

as long as we remain the only Eastern Conference team interested in harrington, we will end up with Harrington. Teams hate dealing malcontents to teams within their Conference.

Is it wrong to not be against trading David Lee for Al Harrington? Maybe we could get them to throw us Anthony Randolph too.

If we're going into 2010 cap mode, then we go all the way...

NY Trades: Lee, Nate, Crawford, and Curry
GS Trades: Harrington, Jackson, and Wright

Start: Randolph, Harrington, Chandler, Jackson, and Duhon
Bench: Wright, Jeffries, Q, and Mardy

2010 = Lebron
