Hey, long-term-part-time lurker here. STFU away.
First thought I had after reading Lee's statline on yahoo was the next few days of threads here. Lee homerism and the counter-homerist-haters and trade value and real- or mocking-innuendo and Vitamin Water images and seven game sample size averages for every hypothesis championed by energetic advocates. Not to even mention Teenage mutant ninja Harrington's game..
Sometimes this type of post has a haughty tone; don't take it the wrong. Respect!¡, O Knick pundits!
This is as interesting a forum as I know online, and has changed what I think phpbb can become (alas but who am I here? Aspiring to be a scout or prospect rank? Regardless.). I'd continue but typing on a mobile screen gives me a headache. I wanted to throw in my kudos at this late, irrelevant hour, to those who type so that others may kill time in something more social than telenovelas or justin dot teevee lithuanian NBA broadcasts where the game is on a filmed tv screen, tilted, and muffled by background chatter and snackfood crunching c/o the broadcaster.
Realgm makes even the dregs worth talking about. Couldn't have the poster-impressions thread or BB romantic mailbag threads or k4e left-field analysis & community rebuke threads or krok alias threads without the sort of 50+ point beatdowns and management media-circus trials. The last few years made viewforum.php?f=24 a battle against existential despair by posters holding on to the Knicks franchise's ideal upside. Those facing meaninglessness must either dissolve or find semblances of order in chaos. A salute to those of you who maintained. Any success from this point on is yours in a way corporate skyboxers can only imagine.
In the spirit of full disclosure, I am a Bulls fan from before I did anything but root absolutely, and the Knicks had a place in my mythos back then. Now I find myself watching the 92 & 93 series on youtube and still enjoying the games that my team lost; they faced a worthy opponent. It is good to see New York again having hope in its basketball team oncourt, hope beyond an apocalyptic rebuild or five players simultaneously shedding their bad habits. It is good for basketball and good for every team. Even if it means a glut of on-topic debate instead of off-topic improvisation by comedy-trolls like krokro, basketball leaves enough room for a blue and orange lens onto the world outside.
Once again in the spirit of disclosure, I have gone on too long and am poetically intoxicated.
Gnight
