I am telling you, New York is in a different planet. They don't know what the hell people talking about when they say "there is a recession" - clearly doesn't affect them.

I've said it before, it's nearly impossible not to be when you play in the biggest city in the country, in the most accessible arena in the world.

How can that be true when you've got rid of all these high-contract players and won't play your superstar? You mean Steph not playing doesn't devalue the franchise by 20 mill?

Well it devalues the franchise whether he plays or doesn't play. It makes no difference whether a player plays or not, unless it affects ticket sales, etc. which in the case of the Knicks it doesn't.

Huh?

You're talking about a metro area of 21 million people filling a 20K basketball arena.

That's .001% of the population of New York. And since I'm sure there isn't 99.999% unemployment, there are still plenty of people with jobs to go to games.

You can't compare a 21 million person metro area to Memphis as far as number of businesses able to afford luxury boxes, even if median income was the same.
