We need a guard, hes paid his dues in preseason with us. Hes now lighting it up in NBDL.

ewing jr isnt a guard and houston is done.

From nba.com today under "Players lookin for NBA spots"

Walker Russell, Fort Wayne

Russell has made cameos in the NBA D-League for parts of two previous seasons but has started 2008-09 as starting point guard for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. Russell is third in the league with 8.7 assists and also contributes 13.3 points and 5.0 rebounds after three games. The 6-0 guard was a First Team All-Ohio Valley performer at Jacksonville State in 2006.

He's former Knick Campy Russell's nephew.
His father a scout for NYK, correct?

If we are still supposed to be contending for the playoffs, then we need to get a veteran pg. We can't take a chance in signing someone that may or may not work out and then we have someone taking a spot like Robertson and not really helping all that much.

i wouldn't mind Fred Jones if he's the best player available out there. But his 3pt shot annoys me. You guys know what I'm talking about.

Actually, I think we should be jerks and sign Darius Miles to a one-year contract. He would then count against Portland's cap and we can team him up with Q again. It would be fun and interesting.

WOW. He must be nothing special. He grew up in the town next to me and I never heard of him.
