Griz, Buck Talking Conley Trade
Jan 11, 2009 5:28 PM EST

The Grizzles and Bucks have reportedly discussed a trade that would send guard Mike Conley to Milwaukee in exchange for guard Ramon Sessions and rookie forward Joe Alexander.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WTF??? Has Milwaukee already soured on both Sessions and Alexander? I would think that either of those guys holds more value than Conley. This can't be right.
Really? Jared Jeffries. Seriously?

Seriously. Nate is nothing special but Conley just sucks. I think Skiles wants a defensive guard though and a guy who can actually play PG. Nate is none of those things.

sessions is a decent player and may acutally be better then conley straight up.. the fact that the bucks are willing to include Joe alexander says a lot.. Maybe they feel alexander is just not a good prospect.. otherwise why include him in this deal?

Conley is not good but is better than Sessions.

Alexander off the bench for Memphis is sweet.

The Bucks owner can't afford massive loses and the Bucks aren't exactly money machines. They can not pay the luxury tax, a place they will be if they have to resign Sessions or don't make some kind of salary dump.

ah, that may explain most of it, because they are giving away Alexander, and I think sessions is as good as conley.....

If this is true, the Bucks have a dumb GM. They gave up on Yi so quickly when they could've gotten more value for him. It was fine that they traded Yi but for that package, they could've asked for more. That trade was such a steal for NJ. And if they give up on Alexander now instead of waiting for him to improve his value, that just means their management is down to Isiah levels. I don't care if they're doing this to avoid the luxury tax, you just don't deal away good trading pieces like that. And my rant should only be taken with the assumption that this rumor is true.
