St Johns tomorrow night at th garden

Post#1 » by BRIGGS » Wed Jan 14, 2009 1:45 pm

I will be at the garden tomorrow for the first time in years. Hopefully there will be a lot of St Johns fans going to root their team on in a game televised for ESPN. I'd like to see more people in NYC and surrounding areas root for St Johns LIKE THEY DID 20 years ago--always packed.

yea but they aren't good and never will be. st johns school is too commuter friendly and doesn't have a good student population in order for them to build up a really big fan base now a days. hence why they are always in the bottom of the big east these days, even with the idea they can have kids play in the garden.

The Redmen can be good again like they used to own the city...All they need is a good coach who can keep the talent in NY instead of going to Uconn, Pitt, Louisville, etc...If they could ever get a good coach, then they can be back on top...The whole Big East suffers without a good St. John's team...Mike Jarvis almost single handedly killed that program...

The Redmen need a new Louie Carnesecca...
