MARDY ballin in LA vs Bucks!

Post#1 » by AyAsiB KNICKS » Sun Jan 18, 2009 5:52 am

STAT line

10 Pts
11 AST
4 STL

2 mins to go..And they are leading.

I wish instead of him traded together with zach, (roberson or nate..) I know he's nit the type of player that can play like that every night, but damn we need his service right now.We don't have a PG that will run the play when duhon rest...

Mardy is a solid player. But not a guy I will lose sleep over. Im happy for him though as im an Atlantic 10 fan and always liked Mardy at Temple and obviously on the Knicks. But enough of these Mardy threads already.

He's doing well. He's not getting empty stats the guys game has improved. He did something over the summer and good for him because he'll remain in this league now because of it. We definitely could use him but hey our GM added him as a throw in without getting any compensation for him.

If you're gonna 2nd guess Walsh on the deal, one legit 2nd guess is not substituting Robertson for Mardy once we knew that Mobley was not going to play. The salaries must have been close enough. Mardy could be the backup point on this club. Robertson does nothing.

Saying he does nothing is a compliment to Roberson. He does worse than nothing, its not even a word to describe it.

I love how players become "good" after they are traded.

Wh we had Mardy Most of the Board bashed him. Glad he is taking advantage of his opportunity

Roberson couldn't be traded because his contract didn't become tradeable until December 15th. So Mardy was really the only option mathematically. While I do like Mardy and thought he could be a good backup PG in this league long term, he is certainly not a dealbreaker for that Zach trade. Best wishes to him but time to move on.

He was terrible on the Knicks, absolutely terrible. Maybe he just doesn't fit in D'Antoni's system.

Mardy doesn't fit D'Antoni's system? Technically, no he doesn't but he makes less than 2mil a year and is a good defender with solid fundamentals. Shooting is his biggest weakness but he doesn't force shots and wreck the offense.

Does Harrington, Thomas, Roberson fit the system? 9mil, 6mil, 1mil....sure!
