OT - Gallinari italian references are pretty lame

Post#1 » by Boss_ » Sun Jan 18, 2009 4:38 pm

Hey I got nothing against the kid..hes facing incredible spotlight to justify being selected as a lottery pick..but if its one thing Im already getting sick of..its the rocky balboa italian stallion references and italy and rome shortjabs such as this courtesy of the quality writings of the nypost and dailynews

Rome was not built in a day

Ok..we get it..hes italian..enough already. I just wanna read about basketball, not lame punchlines and Rome references. Whats next..if gallinari has his first double digit point game were gonna refer to him as a Gladiator from the colluseum back in the day? When he gets his first double/double..will the newspapers refer to him as Julius Cesear? cmon now this is stupid.

What's even more disturbing is the substitution of cock for rooster and then the lame school boy sexual jokes that follow. Just go back to yesterday's game thread. I'm worried that his nickname will be cock around these parts by the time the season is over. I'm gonna make a concerted effort to stop this nonsense.

The direct translation is "cock". You politically correct mofo's have changed it to rooster. Gallo referred to himself as the big cock for a long time.

In Italian Gallo doesn't have sexual connotation. Anyway, I'm not trying to be politically correct. I'm just not looking forward to the time when he does something bad. It won't be pretty around here.

I was at the gas station, drunk, and I ran across a bottle of "GALLO" wine, I laughed for about 5 minutes - while everyone in the store was like WTF is wrong with this drunk fool.

So basically if you drink "GALLO" wine, you're drinking cock wine, lmao

THE WAR HAS BEEN LOST!
