He could also trade those two late first rounders move up into the teens and package the 8 with the 10-16 pick to OKC. now thats enticing to a young team who still has some holes.

Johnny Hoops wrote:Can someone please tell me why Memphis would trade Darko (24) and less $ to the Knicks for Fat-Rich (29) and more $?

Please get this one done Donnie.

Memphis drafts Thabeet, they may want to move Darko. Knicks end up throwing in cash in the deal. QRich is a vet that provides some experience there.

And the Knicks do the Sergio deal, and if they can spin off Hughes for Miller, that would be good also. And throw in the 28th pick, and the Knicks have made moves.

And the whining goes from Walsh moving to slow, to panicking.

The guy is Kwame Brown with less heart. I dont even think he likes basketball. Maybe being in NYC will rejuvenate him.

Deal is :-?

you're off on this one optimus. i would take a bucket of cole slaw for q-rich if the bucket's contract ended in 2010. i would take a pack of newports and an old pair of avia sneakers. i'm malcom x on this one, by any means necessary.

darko's a bum, but he's a young 7 foot tall bum. I'm not expecting many points but this move would help our frontcourt depth and at the cost of only qbrick and cash it's a nice move. I like that donnie hasn't been the guy to chase blockbusters but just makes small moves to make us better while we wait until that magical summer of 2010.

Woah. Optimus is the only one to discount this deal? All the while praising Isiah's drafting abilities in another thread??

Didn't see that coming.

What do you expect? If we draft Jennings, he'll say it was because Isiah told him to.

Sorry but we are bottom feeders next year. Delusions of a playoff run have been snatched already. We have to jump over too many teams.

The deal is trash for trash. If you dont believe me make a thread about Milicic on the Memphis board.

The guy is just BAD. The deal is a wash. Im not getting hyped for guys who are going to be gone in 2010.

he's an immature idiot who doesn't know how to use those tools that got him drafted over carmelo, wade and bosh, but his heart and desire to play ball aren't really problems of his.
